Hello gardeners lovers....happy gardeningπΊππ»π·πΉππΎππ΄
My gardening activity today is growing vegetables for my family's daily needs. Today I plan to plant shallots garlic and also cassava. I don't plant much, the most important thing is enough to meet my family's needs.
Planting Shallots and Garlic
Three weeks ago, I put some garlic and shallots in the refrigerator. I do this to speed up the growth process of the onion cloves, garlic and shallot rhizomes will grow quickly in cool climates.
After three weeks, the shallot and garlic cloves start to grow shoots, it's time to plant them in polybags.I put the soil into a polybag.
Then I sorted the shallot and garlic cloves to plant.
For one polybag I planted two cloves of garlic.
I also put two cloves of shallot seeds in one polybag.
Now I have 5 polybags of shallot plants and 4 polybags of garlic plants. I hope they will thrive.
Planting cassava
One week ago I also planted cassava, I have several cassava plants which I made into a fence, I saw that the cassava plants were tall, I will cut them down and plant them so that there will be more cassava plants.
First I will cut one stem of the cassava plant into several pieces, about one inch long.
After that I made a hole about 2 centimeters deep, then I planted the cassava stems.
At first I intended to plant cassava to take the tubers, so I planted cassava with a distance of about 50 centimeters between one plant and another.
But after 4 days, the cassava plants started to grow leaves, perhaps because the intensity of rainfall was quite high this April, so the plants grew faster and sprouted. Look at the beauty of the new green leaves of this cassava plant, the new life of the cassava plant is about to begin.
When I saw the leaves of the cassava plant starting to grow abundantly, I was excited to add a few more stems to the cassava plant, I inserted it between the cassava plants that were already growing. I only leave a distance of about 5 centimeters between one plant and another. I didn't take the tubers, but I plan to make the leaves as a side dish.
After 7 days, the cassava plants began to grow leaves.
By planting various plants that are useful for us, we have participated in greening our earth.
Caring for Bananas
After finishing planting the cassava, I checked the garden to see if there were any banana trees that were starting to bear fruit again. I saw a banana plant that was starting to bear fruit.
So, that the bananas grow quickly and are large in size, I remove the top part of the flower.
Feeding koi fish
Before going home, I picked some wild taro leaves that grow a lot in the garden, I will use these taro leaves as koi fish food. I keep several koi in a small pond, as a hobby and entertainment for me.
That's all my gardening activities today, thank you for visiting and reading my post
Best Regards
