This Is How I Live

The heat, it continues. Its past midnight now and finally its cooled down. Instead of sleeping, I end up getting things done. The things that I struggle to do in the heat. Like writing this post, after cleaning up inside the truck.

I worry how it is for Freya in the heat she's getting old now. I make sure to have a few wet spots in the garden for her to lie in, as the wet earth helps to keel her cool. She likes to be close to me, when I'm outside and I like having her close too.

Like I said already, it's hard to keep on top of things during the day. All I can do is chill and watch my world. Enjoying the view from my outdoor kitchen looking out over the mountains.

I'm surrounded by mountains and I feel very grateful that I get to enjoy this view everyday. If I can't be active, then at least I can chill, looking out, in nature.

When I'm not being distracted by one of my girls. Which let's be honest, happens a lot. But that's fine, I love our chats, our moments of creativity. This up above, is my middle daughter and she's just too cool. She's so funny and thoughtful and also a dragon. It's quite a mix alright. She's si creative though.

This has been my spot since March, so the last 4 months. I've done my best to make it homely for me and my girls. You can see the shading I made in this photo and the next. Shade is your best friend in the heat. The shade of a tree is best, but when that isn't an option, then you make your own. Here I used olive netting for the base and then sewed material ontop, for extra shade. Upcycling at its best lol.

This was my chill out space today, during the middle of the day. I had an follow up appointment with a wonderful healer, who has been helping me to release a lot of age old tension in my back.

Before I went to see her, I pulled a Sheela Na Gig card. Holding the pack in my hand till I felt drawn to one. I picked "Unconditional Love". Which was exactly what I needed to be focused on, for myself, going into this healing.

Something, I still really struggle with.

The other two, I pulled when I came back. The session was very powerful, but it also exhausted me. So how perfect that it's too hot, to do anything, forcing me to sit and process. Which is what I'm still doing. There were a few realisations, that certainly packed a punch. But delving into that, is for another day.

Thanks for the support xx

These are some cool cards! I never tried anything like tarot or oracles although I've studied the major arcana just for it's cultural impact and relation to kabbalah (not in depth but just out of some curiosity). I got a Japanese deck 2 months ago called "Dragon Gods" which I just felt drawn to because of it's simplicity.

The heat! Please stay cool!

If you ever want some advice on back issues let me know. I come it at from a very physical (TCM/original) perspective but it's worked wonders!

These are the only cards I have ever owned, they were gifted to me, by the person who created them. I feel connected to them.
Thank you, I might hot you up re back. Been working on getting to the root of it xxxxxx

I understand the heat must be challenging but you are in such a nice spot! Thanks for sharing this, so nice to see the pictures. It looks very nice. I see that you have a stove outside, must be nice to cook there, also with the view 🙂 Is it ok to have it outdoors also when it rains? Or can you cover it somehow? Just curious about the practical details 🙂
