Hello everyone! I love fancy dressmaking hence I got excited when I bumped into this awesome challenge! I no longer have dogs in our new location since there's no place for them so I let our helper take care of them at the farm where they can run freely. I missed them but I have no choice.
One day, our neighbor's wife came home from abroad and told us that they have a pet poodle and that she will have some outfits to be customized for "her" summer dress. She got excited upon knowing that I am a seamstress who likes to make these unique stuffs.
She bought two kinds of dress that will fit for summer.
I made the design myself. I made ruffles for the neckline to make her look more feminine.
The lower part is shearing to match her furry back.
The design is light and fit to walk on a sunny afternoon. The owner was excited sitting on our doorstep while I was sewing Kiwi's outfit.
I see to it that the strap on the abdomen is well set and comfortable.
I added a tulle for the second batch with same material.
That's one of the finished product!
That shot was taken during their afternoon walk.
I made a two-sisters' design with bias tape to make it smooth.
The neckline complements with the bias tape to make it comfy.
It's like making a real dress for kids.
Making her raincoat is a lot easier compared to the other outfits I've made.
Kiwi looks like a ballerina! Lol!
She draws the attention of passersby since she likes to pose for them.
She's like a model poodle!
She's a well pampered little princess of the rich n famous!
My testimony
This is Lablab, our 13-year old shih tzu. I trim her furs myself because she doesn't like others to touch her.
I made this bonnet for her. Her furry ears looked like a pony tail!
She stays right beside me whenever I sew, even putting her head on my feet while my other foot is on the pedal. See, she's under my sewing cabinet and she's the reason behind those damages above her head! Lol! She's the jealous type. She's jealous when my grandson would come and kiss my cheeks that she would bark furiously and stays at the middle though she doesn't bite them.
She even saved me when a Cobra entered our kitchen at dawn probably hunting for rats that she barked non-stop until I woke up with her fierce barking. She was like a jumping cat when the snake attacked her. I managed to dodge and killed the cobra myself even if I was so scared and about to collapse but I had to choice but to act on impulse else I'll be dead! Unfortunately, she died due to sickness when I was not at home. They said she wouldn't eat at would go out walking as if looking for me. Our neighbors will know am not at home when they see lablab going out the gate. Oh well, am crying again. I really miss Lablab, my loyal shih tzu.
We love dogs that it pains my heart whenever one passed away. It is said that dog is man's best friend and they have no other family except you. Once you have them, they will be with you till the end.
This is the reason why I eagerly accepted the job when our neighbor asked me to make those outfits because they remind of our furry pets at home.
This is all for now, thank you for dropping by my page!
Thank you!
