Need a nice, tasty and super healthy tea to start the day!? Well my friends, you’ve come to the right place! Make this tea in the morning and it will do wonders for your body!
Ingredients:
- 3 cups Boiling water
- Just a pinch of Ginger
- Just a pinch of Turmeric
- 1 spoonful of Honey
- 1 lemon
Steps:
1.) Get some water boiling.
2.) While you're waiting for the water to boil, cut a lemon in half, and then with one half, cut it in half again, so that there are two ¼ pieces of the lemon.
3.) Once the water is boiled, turn off the stove and pour the boiling hot water into a mug. There may be a little water left over, but don’t worry about that. (you can use the excess water for another cup of tea, or to share with someone else)
4.) Pour a little bit of ginger into the cup. I’d say just a pinch, like a tad that would fit at the edge of your spoon. Mix well with your spoon until dissolved. Water will be cloudy.
5.) Pour a bit of turmeric in. Same bit as ginger, or if you have a sprinkler top, two shakes should be enough. Mix well with your spoon. Water will be yellowish.
6.) Pour a spoonful of honey into your tea. This makes the tea nice and sweet. If you really like honey, you can be a little generous with the spoonful, but not too much!
7.) With a spoon, remove the obvious seeds out of one of the ¼ lemon slices you cut earlier. Use that ¼ of a lemon to squeeze into the tea. You don’t have to use up the whole fourth, squeeze to your liking. As you squeeze, the unwanted seeds will come loose. You can use the spoon to pick them out, then continue squeezing. (It is okay if some of the lemon seeds get in your tea, they will sink to the bottom of the cup, and you can dump them out when you're finished with your tea.
Now you can enjoy your healthy tea!! It will be VERY hot, so you may want to wait about 3 minutes before drinking.
Now while you dink you healthy tea elixir with a lemony kick, here are some health facts about all ingredients:
