Written Dreams And Goals In An Origami Sealed By A Jar; A Method Of Hope

“Always nurture your inner childhood dreams, life will become beautiful.” ~ Invajy

Hello, adept people in this community! What’s up? I do hope that everybody is doing well with their lives.

For this blog, I’m going to share a technique on how I keep on with my visions in life. On how I feel lighter and charged for the upcoming heavy days. In this method, I am helping myself to do good and be optimistic during faint times.

As a child, have you ever thought of a dream? A dream that you think you can have without knowing the circumstances, because we are still young? Are you that child who decided to conquer the world with what you had? I was that kind of kid. I had vision and, of course, a dream.

As I grew older, my dreams and hopes did not disappear. The big dreams I had, I kept in my heart and soul. I decided to seal my mind with my goals. Please take note that growing up doesn’t mean that you have to adjust your goals. You can’t just back down from your goal since the reality is awakening your mature self. Don’t compromise on what you think is simple. Be extraordinary and seek adventure through your goals in life.

I have this significant jar that I made during the New Year. It holds my DAG papers. DAG stands for dreams, aims, and goals. I write my wishes and vision on simple paper and make it into a crane origami.

Fun fact: It is believed in Japan that if you make 1000 crane origami, your wish will come true.

This is a way of keeping pace with my goals. This method makes me motivated. Plus, making origami is fun and creative. Everyone in different generations can apply this creative work. A family can create their goals together and bind their hopes in a jar. A group of friends can write their wishes and maybe places and plans they want to accomplish together. This method builds rapport for everyone.

CRANE ORIGAMI

Step 1: Prepare the materials.

  • Origami paper/ preferred paper.
  • Pen/ Pencil

Step 2: Fold the paper and form a triangle.

Step 3: Cut the rectangle part.

Step 4: Fold the paper.

Step 5: Fold the paper into crosswise ,then lengthwise.
Step 6: Form a diamond.

Step 7: Fold both the corners.
Step 8: Fold the remaining top part.
Step 9: Open the folded part to farm a diamond. Do it also on the other side.
Step 9: Fold the corners.

Step 10: Put the folded parts together.

Step 11: Fold it upward.
Step 12: Fold both sides together.
Step 13: Fold the sides to make the wings.

Now it’s all done! Your DAG paper is sealed in the form of a crane origami.

For the jar, I used an old jar of mine that was used in the kitchen. I put some simple design on it, and it’s wholesome. The jar can be anything; just choose the ones that are special to you, or you can even make it particular to your liking. After decorating your chosen jar, you can now put your origami inside, and don’t forget to close it tightly to prevent liquid from going inside. We don’t want our DAG papers to vanish.

Have you guys decided to make it? I recommend this activity be done by kids. Children are surely fragile, and they need the most care. That goes with their dreams and hopes. Children’s vision is peculiar in a good way, and I hope that the world doesn’t bring them down and that they strive for their dreams. So if you have a kid at home, let them try this activity. I assure you, it’s fun and fulfilling.

Nice one, Miss @rainebow0407 ! Your strategy of embracing the art of crane origami to manifest your dreams is both ingenious and inspiring. The thought of turning wishes and goals into beautifully folded cranes, tucked away in a jar, is truly enchanting. 🌟
I want to make one too. Thanks for the idea, miss.🤗

I’m excited for you to try it miss @iamcheerfellll.💛 I’ll be sure your created crane origami and hard work will not let you down.💪🏻

I didn't hear about this tradition, but it sounds like a lot of fun, for kids especially! Thanks for sharing the creation process with us!

Question: Can you fill that jar with 1000 crane origami? 😃

I have picked this post on behalf of the @OurPick project which will be highlighted in the next post!

Nope. 1000 origami are supposed to be hanged on the ceiling. You can put them up group by group.😄 Thank you for picking my post!💛

Creative! For sure, this will somehow serve as your guide in keeping track on your goals.

Surely it will ma’am. It will not only guide me but also inspire me to keep going.💪🏻

This origami makes me remember Micheal Scofield and his prison break saga 😅
Brilliant

Michael Scofield was soft for Sara Tancredi. His intention of making the origamis was both romantic and a brilliant idea. He himself loved DIY😅

Exactly
He pulled off both sides successfully 😅
