Hello, friends of hive DIY, I bring you a very easy and fun step by step for children in these times of pandemic where we still have a little doubt to get together to celebrate.
This tutorial is about how to make a piñata for our children at home. Coincidentally, my son turns 22 and here in Venezuela we still have to book big meetings, but I don't want to miss his celebration, so, with materials that I have right here at home, I made him a little piñata for his day.
These are the materials:
- cardboard folder
- cardboard
- stick stick
- silicone
- rule
- scissors
- pencil
- exactly
- transparent thread
- foami
- crepe paper
first step | | |
Make the motif you prefer in the piñata with the measurements and size that you choose. Yo, I chose the Batman because he is the reason for my son's cake. To start take the black foami where you draw the bat.
And, when cutting I stay this way.
Second step | | |
To make the bottom of the bat, I take this one that is already cut out, and measure the distance, leaving a frame of one centimeter outside of it.
The easiest way, to make the oval the same size, is by folding the yellow cardboard and taking the measurements of the middle of the oval so that when cutting, it is the same size on both sides.
Third step | | |
Glue the foam to the cardboard with silicone to adjust the motif of the piñata.
Fourth step | | |
Take the measurements of the cardboard folder and cut the two covers with the exact one to give the two fronts the same size.
Fifth step | | |
Cut the sides out of the cardboard and glue the two fronts using hot glue. Staying in this way.
Sixth step | | |
With the tip of the pencil, press hard to form a small hole at the top and across the center of the piñata. With the transparent thread placing double to make it more resistant from front to back.
Seventh step | | |
Cut the crepe paper into 6 cm wide strips and then cut into a fringe on one side, 3 cm wide
Eighth step | | |
With the glue stick, they are glued from the bottom up, placing the paper from side to side
Nineth step | | |
Finishing placing the fringes, on both sides place the logo of the motif, which in my case is the Batman that I made previously.
Finally, you can customize to your liking, I place with transparent thread some bats hanging below and decorate the stick with which the piñata is going to be split.
