I want to use this medium to greet all great Hivers. How has been your day so far, hope you are all doing good? I'm positive minded that it's all well and fine.
For a while now my pen has been on holiday of raising birds because of one or two reasons; one of the reasons being that, there is this constant inflation of the price of day old birds. Formerly, during this time last year we were buying day old birds as low as N450 but now it's so high to the point of N900 which I found quite so high.
But then, after waiting for a while hoping the price will deflates but it doesn't so I have no choice than to book my next batch of birds and stop hoping on something that's showing no sign of changing. Since I sold the last batch, I have been so lazy to clean up my pen and that's not the only reason since I wasn't expecting any birds anytime soon, so I was reluctant to clean it up.
Did the two important activities.
- Cleaning and packing out the used litter materials. This is a norm in my pen, once I'm done with a batch I will prepare for the next batch by packing out litter materials and by using disinfection to wash the inside of the pen.
- Weeding off the surrounding of the pen that's already becoming bushy.
