The turtle............and the rabbit

in #hive-1896414 months ago

Hello Everyone!

It had nearly been a month since my last post. It had been a very busy month for me. I started doing my online classes in addition to my roster and, driving lessons. I did not even understand how I was able to manage things but, I survived.

This piece is supposed to be based on my favourite Filipino story- Ang Pagong at ang Kuneho- the turtle and the rabbit.

In a nutshell, the turtle and rabbit decided to race. Knowing that the turtle is very slow, the rabbit decided to take a nap while the turtle slowly walked to the finish line. Turtle won of course!

In this twist, I have made the turtle and the rabbit. But, I accidentally deleted the pictures I took while making the rabbit.

Anyway, I wanted a sweet take on my characters so I made sure to incorporate dessert theme in my pieces.

Here's rabbit.

I started by extruding some white clay.

And I used some mint green clay- because I love mint chocolate icecream.

I used my biscuit molds to make these.

This is the initial look.

Pre baked looks.

And this is how it looks like after I applied some colorless nail polish.

Why not a proper clay sealant? Well, I am a cheapskate, I am making this for me and, its the cheapest thing I could get my hands on.

So, a few more pictures of my rabbit. It would have been fun to make a tutorial on this too.
