Steamed Tuna Curry

The tuna I bought a few days ago has been in the fridge for so long I intend to make curry. Well I bought tuna and boiled it some time ago so that it was preserved and had a long shelf life. Not only that, I boiled it to also want to make delicious tuna curry for my family at home. Why does it have to be boiled? Well, this process is usually done by grilling the tuna first. However, my mom and dad don't like grilling because it makes the texture of the tuna meat harden, so I took an alternative by boiling it. This dish is my father's favorite at home, he really likes tuna curry cooked with spicy spices. According to him, the spicy seasoning is very tempting to the tongue, he can eat it many times if my mother or I prepare this curry.

Tuna curry with spicy seasoning, rich in natural herbs and spices, now here I add a lot of sunti acid which is the main seasoning typical for my area. Sunti acid is the name for fermented starfruit (Averrhoa bilimbi L), which is dried with the use of salt. So that it can be stored for quite a long time and is also the main ingredient in curry dishes and other foods for the people of Aceh.

Tuna curry is ready to be served on a plate, now this dish is perfect served with warm rice for a family lunch menu. As I mentioned above, spicy seasoned tuna curry is my family's favorite food at home. My mom and dad always enjoy this dish with white rice during the day or as a delicious dinner.

Now, in the cooking process, I highly recommend that you cook over medium heat because the process of making curry has to reduce the gravy. And also when cooking don't stir frequently because it will destroy the soft texture of the meat.

This curry looks super ❤️

Thank you !!

This looks so tasty! I don't think I can find the sunti acids here though. What is a good replacement?

Maybe sliced tomatoes or lemon juice work for your curries. because before I ever see a cheff replace it with it.
