Hi, I'm My Teenages, it's been a while since I've posted here on Hive, however, I'm happy to announce that I'm now a high school graduate! Today I'm happy to share with you one of my first projects and also to remember a little bit about when I was still studying with my friends.
Tutorial que seguí para hacer los ositos
One day I found a tutorial on YouTube to make bears and I said, why not, so I crocheted one (the gray one) and that's how I took up knitting again after years. In the ears of the bear you can notice my inexperience because it looks a little more like a Koala, but well, I'm not perfect either so I empathized with him and it was ideal to personalize my school bag. Then my best friend's birthday was coming up and, looking to complement her gift with something more personal than a letter, a pink teddy bear seemed perfect to represent her.
However, after a few days in class, sharing with my friends as usual for the last 2 years, I realized that it didn't make sense to have 2 keychains when there were 3 of us, so I started to knit a teddy bear for my best friend. My friend's personality is warm and also quite energetic and I relate it to a flower or nature in general, so I decided to use this "light brown" color.
Since we started our friendship until now we have seen each other in a particular way: my friend is the youngest (although the difference is only by a few months) so we see him as a child, he is calm and a lover of forests and wild plants; my friend is the cute one, the one who with her soft voice charms everyone instantly, she is like a hello kitty for us even though she doesn't accept it and loves to wear black; they, on the other hand, describe me as the serious, calm and direct one so they assign me the role of ̈"the mother" and even though I don't want to accept it, I catch myself telling them "watch out, you may fall" or advising them in everything I can. After all, I'm only a few months older.
I really enjoyed the process not only of knitting this bear, but also all the others, I think the tutorial is very good and useful for beginners, I know I have some mistakes but little by little I'm learning. I would say that what was more difficult for me was to knit the smaller things like the little arms and the ears, they are things that require less knitting but more effort and my fingers end up hurting.
The final details are my favorite parts: putting a little face on it, which I think also gives it personality; for example, I think this one is a little silly, putting a little blush on it to make it look more adorable, and finally the keychain and that's it. I love how quickly you can see how the bear forms, as that's one of the things that frustrates me the most about knitting, not seeing a quick result; that's why I'm more of a sewing girl, although well, then I see how pretty these kinds of things look and I get over it.
I handed the teddy bear to my friend and he loved it. He instantly put it in his backpack and now all 3 of us had our teddies. Thank you for reading and giving me a little of your time.❤️ I hope you liked this project and had some fun. I wish you a nice life, bye!
