Hello Hive
We didn't just plant beans this year, we made sure it was a plantation farming so that we can have enough beans for food.
This started three weeks ago when my dad cleared the farms and we hired labourers to make ridges.
That was done and two weeks ago we planting commenced.
Since we are trying to maximize the available land space, once harvesting of corn is completed we usually use the same field for planting beans.
Beans thrives well between, August, September when it is been planted
At this time the rains aren't usually heavy there is only minimal rainfall since beans does not like too much of water.
This is a two month cycle beans, its lifespan is two months and then harvest begins, like I often like to buy agric engineered beans just to improve yield.
Healthy seeds births quality harvest.
This were our neighbours we can employed to assist us with planting.
Two grains of beans is planted per hole and the spacing between two hole is usually from 0.5m-1m.
The specie of beans determine the spacing.
Since beans is a cover crop it requires proper spacing for it to thrive well.
Aside mixed cropping you can decide to plant short lived crops two to three times within a year and maximize land space to produce more.
