I think I love how this turned out.
Lately I have been working with all the scrap fabrics in my sewing room, wanting to do away with all the tiny pieces. Rather than have them burnt out, I keep selecting pieces that are wide enough to be joined with another we to make something useful.
This Camisole top is a product of such cycling.
I had wanted to sew a Camisole one can wear under a blazer but while making this different ideas kept swelling in my head not to sew just any ordinary Camisole. First I added a middle gathering that can pull in the sweetheart neckline of the top
And then came the idea of a fringe hemming round the top.
After everything I think that this has progressed from been a Camisole to one sexy top you can rock to a beach.
There was not enough fabric to go round for this project hence I had to improvise by mixing this with a blue bias strip. The two colors don't seem bad I assume .
To make this I had cut the front and back block with a 7" sweetheart next depth
