I have got some new toys...
For a musician a new toy would mean a musical instrument or music scores, accessories for the instrument or something that would use for the gigs and concerts. Maybe a set of make-up if you are a woman and perferm often. Or a new dress, shoes... the list could grow if I continue daydreaming.
But now I talk about a toy that will serve me for playing and decorating some rocks. You heard well - rocks! {In case you missed that post where I presented that place for everyone who feel the call to express some creativity and ideas, convert sadness into happiness, show kindness or deliver a message to others... click here...}
So these toys are acrylic markers that I bought yesterday afternoon. Just a few of them to try out first and if I can make them listen to me I plan to buy a whole set.
The first impression about them came this morning when I had one hour for: wake up completely, drink my morning coffee, prepare the food for the trip (we are on the road right now to Madrid) get the things ready and give a piano lesson. Then, in that busy schedule I decided to play with the new markers. 😁
I can justify this. We will meet some Hivers today, singers from the national choir of Venezuela who are having their tour in Spain. One of the members really wanted to meet me and my husband, and I heard there were people claiming something like - "if you don't meet mipiano, you were not in Spain". 😂 I have a day off so why not going on this little journey and stay until tomorrow evening (unfortunately we can't stay for their last concert as have to be back for my son's performance on Saturday)? I decided to make a personal gift - to write a little message on one of the rocks I had at home. With the blue acrylic marker I drew a dove (as a sign of peace and hope for a better kinder world) and wrote "Imagine". That was the song (Imagine by John Lennon) we played once together as a collaboration and I know it means a lot to him.
It is not finished, but I didn't have more time as when you are in rush unexpected things happen. Don't ask me how but the blue acrylic paint from the marker fell on my trousers and left a visible mark. 🤦🏻♀️ I had to put the washing machine too in the meantime. 😂
Finally, I finished everything, gave the piano lesson, prepared my stuff to take to Madrid and here we are. In the car, driving in heavy rain and with the hope that the Hivers who will get this rock will not see this post before I finish it and give it to them. 😉
Btw, now I want to make a different kindness rock to each Hiver that I have the opportunity to meet in person in future. That's an idea, but first to see if the person who gets it will like this little rocky detail.
