Hello dear friends in the Black and White community!
I'm Menti, and I'm back with another photography project and blog post. This time, I took photos at a beauty salon of a model who had their hair curled according to their taste and the stylist's knowledge of their facial anatomy.
My role in this project was simply to take photos of the final result and the process of the hair styling. Although the main focus was not on curling the hair, I still wanted to capture the beauty of the transformation.
The beauty salon, owned by Uncle Yasi (the stylist), was incredibly unique. He didn't follow any specific pattern for his salon, instead incorporating whatever came to mind and blending it with his creativity. I'll definitely show you more of his art the next time I visit.
Uncle Yasi also had a tattoo on his hand that caught my attention. It's interesting to note that here in Iran, some hair stylists also do tattoos. While not all of them do, it's not uncommon to find a tattoo artist who is also a hair stylist.
He designed the tattoo on his hand himself. I was curious about its meaning, but I didn't ask him. I simply enjoyed its beauty.
I also took an abstract photo with an unconventional frame of a very old mechanical hair clipper hanging on the wall. Finally, I took a photo of Uncle Yasi standing and my model sitting in a chair, capturing a friendly and warm moment between them.
Watching others' artistry has always been enjoyable for me, and it always keeps my mind open to learning.
Have a wonderful day! See you soon.
