Another DIY project for our upcoming three-esta 🎈 I plan to use one of the fiesta table clothes as a photo backdrop and hang this banner up with it. I've created two banners, so that it's not spelled threeesta across the whole thing. I used some basic cardstock and glitter cardstock that I had around the house. I also used some ribbon I had around the house for the string. See below for a tutorial if you're interested in making one yourself ⬇️
Materials:
- Cardstock (Two colors)
- Glue
- Hole Punch
- Scissors
- String/Ribbon
1. Cut out blank rectangle shapes and rectangle shapes with letters cut out of them. I cut them with a Silhouette Cameo paper cutter. But you can also cut them out yourself, as long as all the rectangle shapes are all the same size
2. Dab glue on the back of the letter cut-out
3. Paste onto a blank rectangle cut-out. Repeat steps two and three for all letters.
For letters with a hole in the middle, you'll also need to paste the middle shape.
(Another option: glue letter cut-outs onto sturdy cardstock ⬆️)
4. Use a hole punch to punch two holes at the top of each letter. Try to space them evenly.
Here's what it should look like ⬆️
5. Cut string to fit all letters in a line. Cut extra string at the end, on both sides, for tying the banner up.
6. Bring string behind the left hole
7. Pull string out the front and then back down into the right hole.
8. Repeat steps six and seven for all letters.
