I was lost for a few days, work and some health situations had forced me to be absent. But, here I am today excited and willing to share with you a Fant Art of a creature that I have made, inspired by Holozing. Her name is: Leafpuppy. He is a grass-type puppy, a kind of hybrid that involves a tender character that he abandons when he enters the battlefield.
Leafpuppy is touching, I think that if you go through the forest and you come across one of these little furry ones, your first thought is: Oh, how cute! However, you should not be fooled because it has super strong attacks, the plants that stand out from the head have the power to distill poison with which it intoxicates its opponents to weaken them. With his tail, which is actually a super hard bunch, he uses it to attack with blows, which hurts very hard. Because it is small, it is light and very fast, it has dissipated attacks.
For this drawing, in addition to Holozing, I have been inspired by the forest. I always loved Bulbasur, he was one of my favorites, I think here is a tribute to him. Making this drawing was quite entertaining, one of the things that took me the most time besides outlining was the background. Yes, I had already imagined Leafpuppy in the forest, surrounded by grass and some flowers. Having that clear, I began defining perspective, details such as grass, flowers.
Let's quickly see the Leafpuppy Drawing process:
For drawing I have used my tablet, pencil and Medibang Paint as a drawing program. I started the process by making a quick sketch, however it wasn't one, it wasn't two, it was three. And haha, I have stayed with this one that I present here. After the sketch, I moved on to a cleaner outline that I did in several layers that I then integrated. I used tools such as shapes and transformation at this stage.
Now the color stage begins. For this one, I always use the Paint can, it's quick and allows me to easily try different colors.
After the base colors, I moved on to the details and shadows. At this stage I used brush tools such as: airbrush, fluffy watercolor, basic pencil, aqueous acrylic and some sets of transparencies.
Having been satisfied with Leafpuppy, I moved on to creating the background. I think that many times this gives it more essence or drives it. In this season I divided to separate green and blue tone, I made little plants, herbs, flowers and some vine branches. I used brushes like: Simu, cloud, soft cloud, blur and round brush.
Here the final result:
