A friend of mine contacted me and sent me a picture of this particular beads, she saw it from an Instagram page and said I should do the same for her, I do not know why she fancy this beads but I know she has her reasons for choosing this type of bead, So today I will be making her this bead also this bead can serve for two purposes. It can be either use as a leg bead or hand bead anyway of the two can work perfectly.
Materials used
Coral bead (Red)
Elastic Fishing line
Scissors
My friend is someone who is slim like me so I decided to use my wrist to measure her hand size then I started creating her work.
I cut the Elastic fishing line using scissors to the size of my wrist then I started fixing the coral bead which is red in color into the Elastic fishing line one after the other after that, I fixed the gold coral bead and then I continued with the red coral bead.
The gold bead serve as demarcation between the coral beads, this gold beads also serves as beauty to beautify the bead, this type of beads is used mostly for ceremony, it can either be for marriage ceremony or other events.
After fixing the beads, I tied the two edges together.
It can be used as a wrist bead and can also be use as a leg bead in the Eastern part of Nigeria for traditional marriage.
After making the beads my friend was so excited and she thanked me for making such a beautiful bead for her. The bead can be used on the wrist when she puts on traditional attire for special occasions such as weddings, church service.
The bead also adds beauty to someone's outfit which makes the person to stand out.
This coral bead is usually used for ceremonial occasions.
Beads are mostly used by chiefs and kings in Nigeria especially the Benin people they love to use bead which is part of their dress code.
The coral bead can also be used to make earrings and also necklace which compliment one's outfits.
