Happy and blessed Needlepoint Monday, my dear creator and crafter friends of this beautiful community. I am glad to be here again sharing with all of you and our long awaited Creative Monday. Before writing today's post I took the time to visit some of your posts and admire your projects. You get so much inspiration from all the wonderful ideas you present to us each Monday.
My goal this week is to encourage you to participate in the NEEDLEWORK YOUR KITCHEN CONTEST the new community contest, which invites us to create something special for our home, specifically for our kitchen. There are many things we can do, both things with utility, as well as purely ornamental things, as is the case of my project today. Today I am excited and happy to show you this nice and fun project that I was working on Sunday afternoon.
The second ingredient for this recipe is the spaghetti, which although everyone thinks it is easy, it has its degree of complexity. Since it must be al dente, I wove the chains with a thinner needle so that the chains would be very tight and give firmness to the weaving. Next step I prepared the meatballs. For this I used a red thread in a darker shade. I knitted them just like the spheres are knitted in an amigurumi.
The final touch is given by two bay leaves that add flavor, smell and color to the dish. I must say that I had a lot of fun weaving this project, I felt like a little girl playing with play dough. My children laughed a lot when they saw me having so much fun making each of the ingredients. I had such a good time, that I am already thinking about the next dish. For now, I'll say goodbye and remind you that our contest is still active. Thanks for reading, greetings and blessings.
