For my current mixed media art project, I wanted to share with you a recent design I created featuring two young females looking upward. I imagined they were stargazing and fantasizing about the wonders of the universe.
I utilized one of my generative art images from Nvidia Gaugan2, the upgraded program. The design was already awesome and unique on its own. However, I wanted to pair it with other mixed media art to see what effect they would have on the piece. But by the time I continued to overlay the other images, only the bottom of my design was visible. It resembled a reflection, which was cool.
I share with you my procedures below.
Having strayed from the generative art program I was familiar with and loved, I returned recently due to an upgrade to the program. Nvidia Gaugan2 did not disappoint as it added a text description feature to their software.
I was able to retrieve the following image actually by utilizing an old segmentation map. I wanted to see how the upgrade would handle it. To my surprise, the image turned out beautiful, haunting, and ethereal in a dark and dramatic fashion. Using the Landscape feature of the program, I was able to choose features such as water, rocks, clouds, and mountains.
For the "Us" image, I chose the upper body of a woman flipped on opposite sites. A lovely image that served my purpose since it included nice scrolls.

Finally, for additional images, I chose a moon to highlight the sky and two of my pure fractals to add texture to the scene. However, the background abstract pattern elements inside my design program were the key features I feel that added extra bursts of colors without overpowering the scene.
Once my images were compiled, I uploaded all into Canva, my design program to assemble them. Below are my procedures in which you can view the features and tools at my disposal in my upgraded Annual Pro Membership Subscription.
To a blank canvas, I added a background pattern texture to give my scene some abstract color. Next, I resized the pattern to fit the entire canvas.
Once I was satisfied with the intensity of the pattern, I decided to add a sky element, so decided on a moon.
I added the generative art landscape image.
Couldn't decide whether to cover the entire canvas of half way. Finally, decided to cover the bottom half of the canvas with the landscape for a water element.
Added the two-headed woman. Colorized the females with a filter from Deep Dream Generator, then faded the image into the abstract background.
Added two fractals and inserted them into frame shapes for distortion. Completed project.
Below is my completed mixed media art project:
Thanks for taking the time to view my post. I hope you like my mixed media art project.
