For my Freestyle Collage No. 44, my theme is protection of one's domain. An evil witch learns that a kingdom situated by a seashore has been left unattended. The men of the kingdom was called to fight in another area. Seizing an opportunity, she boldly attempts to bring the kingdom under her spell and control.
Unaware the kingdom has a protector, she attacks it. Her powers prove ineffectual against the goodness that surrounds the land she attempts to usurp. The good versus evil concept.
For the territory under siege by an evil witch, I chose as the background landscape an image from a previous LMAC contest round. With a castle built in the sand, it provided the imagery required to develop a theme around protection.
I enjoyed creating this theme depicting two sides of a conflict.

For the evil witch in the scene, I located a free-sourced image depicting a wrinkled old woman's face with white hair hiding behind a mountain.

I utilize Canva to blend the images for the scene. Having available upgraded features that include background removal and colorizing is one reason I opted for an Annual Pro Membership I enjoyed creating the divide between good and evil.
I started with a blank canvas.
Flipped image to fill canvas; added evil eyes.
Added the castle and kingdom landscape.
I added the witch image as the background.
Added river barrier for separation.
Added angel, wand for the opposing side.
