The LMAC Community run by @shaka holds a weekly collage contest round for its members. In the Community, you'll discover a variety of themed contest entries submitted for consideration. If selected for the final round, contest hopefuls anxiously await results indicating where their placement that determines the prize amount. It's a fun contest that any Hive member can participate. If you'd like to join in, just visit the LMAC Community account here and follow the rules of the contest for details on the latest contest.
The LMAC Community also offers an opportunity for members to create and post in the Community "freestyle" collage themes. In the freestyle option, more freedom is allowed to design your creations without having to incorporate the weekly contest photo. However, contest rules still apply.
For my Freestyle Collage No. 90, my theme is "a glimpse into dystopia".
Rising sea levels. Animals disappearing from the face of the planet. Industrialism overtaking the atmosphere. Disappearing coral reefs. Polluted riverways. Dying marine life.
The signs were there in plain sight for all to see. They turned away from the truth. It was too unbearable to hear their mistakes. So they went about their everyday lives in the business of being too busy.
A bleak future never envisioned. An emptiness no one desired. But no one cared enough to prevent it. That is what happened. Only after the dread was upon them did they run, screaming asking what could they do. It was too late to do anything.
Their time on this Earth has come to an end.
Earth refused to support them that did not support it.
In preparing my theme, I wanted to showcase two of my pure fractals I created in the advanced version of the fractal rendering program, Apophysis, 7X. These two fractals were important to the overall scene in creating pestilence in the dystopian world.
Below are the additional images I include to depict a dystopian world where pestilence prevails. To represent a decrepit facility, I chose the LMAC Round 208 Contest image. It made an excellent building whose facade was overrun with death. However, the eye in the skyline was awesome, I felt as if showing the citizens their future. I wanted to make the eye more dramatic, so I inserted a dystopian city inside.

Sixteen images I used to complete my freestyle collage. When compiling them for my design, I upload all to Canva. It's my design program I use to blend my images. Below are the procedures I use that incorporate the tools at my disposal in my Annual Pro Membership Subscription.
Started with a blank, white canvas.
Added a Geometric Architecture Background free for use by Canva Creative Studio per guidelines in Canva.
Added the large eye. Removed background, then positioned it in center of the building.
Added the dystopian city by inserting it inside a frame, then positioning frame inside eye.
Added the colosseum image.
Removed background from colosseum; resized and positioned it in the landscape. Then decorated the building to resemble a dystopian scene with overgrown trees, decay, and worms crawling about.
Added the fractal design that looked like alien eyes. Added alien insect and symbol to create a dystopian city under duress.
**Removed the background of the fractal eye. Duplicated it and the other alien elements; then repositioned them to resemble bugs or a plague over the city. **
Added the gas mask, flower stem, and water droplets.
Resized and positioned gas mask and flower inside eye. Placed water drops outside of eye.
Added the people and the umbrella.
Removed the background from the people. Positioned the umbrella to protect them from acid rain. Completed the project.
Below is my completed collage:
Thanks for your visit. I appreciate it. I hope you like my freestyle collage theme.
