Hello everybody,
Last Monday, both me and hubby woke up late, about 9am in the morning because last Sunday we went to the hospital two times. In the afternoon about 3pm for the catheter removal of hubby then back at 8pm for the insertion again of the catheter because he still can't urinate. His prostate is not in good condition.
I should have attended to our laundry that day but because I was tired, I let my son cooked our food. So, I said to hubby I'll just crochet that day. I started crocheting my work-in-progess a poncho as my gift to my online friend, a doctor who is currently in Ohio, USA. Then, I did not expect what hubby told me. "Hmm, you always crochet for others, but me the financier of your materials, you rarely made something for me." Opps, I was stunned of what he said, because it is the truth. I kept my WIP away and silently search Pinterest for a Beret pattern. Grateful I found the pattern that is easy to understand. So, I right away copied the design of the Beret Style Beanie a crochet along for a cause. Here is the site www.hookonhomemadehappiness.com. I crocheted the beanie about three hours. But to my dismay, it was small. I fitted on hubby's head, oh oh, I crocheted the medium size. It fits me more. Look!
After my selfie selfie, I relaxed, relaxed my hands. and searched again at Pinterest for a Beret pattern. This time I come across Yarnspiration, their Granny Beret. I started it, even though it was 9pm already. After finishing the Beret at midnight, hubby was already asleep. I was happy with the outcome because the size was a large size, I was sure it will fit hubby's head, because he was already asleep, I took my selfie selfie, again.
When hubby woke up yesterday morning I right away fit the Granny Beret on his head, Wow, it's perfect to him, but he told me to add one round of black yarn. After, adding the black yarn, hubby's choice of color is perfect!
Looks good on him!
I was inspired to make for me, too. So, looked from my stash should be rainbow color but this are the colors available.
I rushed my beret, I finished it past midnight.
I really thought it is not a nice combination oh colors. But when I fit the Beret in my head, oh, la la
la, I love it.
Grateful much for the pattern. After weaving of ends and cut, I now have additional yarn ends to my collections.
Just until here, folks, till next blog.
Thank you for dropping by,
