Good day, Hivers! How are you doing today? I hope everything is going well for you wherever you are. Today I'll show you how to make a DIY magazine flower. I enjoy crafting DIY flowers like this and have done so many times. I made them as a gift for my friends and family, as well as for house and school decorations, props/background, and so on. Flowers represent love, and we feel happy, less depressed, anxious, and agitated after receiving or saw a flower. I enjoy making DIY flowers since I love art. I know that making DIY flowers is not easy. You need patience, time, a creative mind, and so on, but it's actually rather simple, and it's even simpler if you do it with love. And it will be even more beautiful and valuable if you make it yourself, with your own hands.
✨So here's how I made my DIY magazine flower step by step.✨
Materials need:
- Magazine pages
- Scissors
- Sticks
- Glue/Tape
Step 1✨
- I have an old magazine here, and I tore out a page from it. Then I trim the rough edge to make the line straight and tidy.
Step 2✨
- I fold it in half lengthwise after I cut the rough edge. After that, I fold the halves in half. I fold the first half first, then the other half.
Step 3✨
- After folding the magazine page, I cut a small strip in it but not all the way through, to leave a glue at the bottom and use that to hold everything together. You can also use double-sided tape on it.
Step 4✨
- For the stem of the flower, I just used a page of a magazine and made it into a stem since I don't have a stick. I rolled the strip from one corner diagonally. Then roll it towards the other end and glue the end to secure the roll. This is my stem, and I just cut off both ends of it.
Step 5✨
- Make a flower. I put some glue in the space at the bottom, and I placed it on the stick/stem and then began rolling to form a flower. I keep rolling until I get to the end, and it's like a real flower.
Then you will have a lovely magazine flower! So simple and easy, right? And it's really fun to do! You can use it as a design in your house, props, sell it, or even as a gift for your loved ones!
This is the final output. I actually made this for my project last year in school. I got a perfect score for this one and I wanted to share here how I made it.
I made a bouquet of it and showed it to my mom. She loved it, so I put it in a flower vase and used it as a table decoration. I hope you like it and that it will inspire everyone to make DIY flowers. Let's make flowers!
Thank you for stopping by. Keep safe, everyone!❤️
