I've planted a lot of in my garden and I put them in things that I recycled. They served as permanent containers to what I grow and with this one I manage to maximamize the space in our home. The feeling of doing something for our mother earth is truly satisfying and I will never get tired of it. I hope you can also even in the smallest way.
This day my we bought water containers from our neighbor. We didn't ask it anymore since we've been doing it for a long time so I told my grandma that we should buy it from them from now on. They have 15 of it and it costs 30 pesos only. We also said to them that if they have more in the future, we will buy it also.
We bought that many since I have a lot in my mind to plant in those containers. One of it is eggplant and this same day I did the planting of my seedlings. The organic soil that we gathered are ready to use afterall since the moisture in them is just right for planting.
The first thing I did was to cut them just like the way I did with the containers where I planted my chillies. I used a knife to be faster just what you see in the photo then it left me with this outcome. The upper part will be use for other purpose so I'll keep them.
I mixed the organic soil and rice hull after that then I filled the containers with it. I just left some space where I can plant the eggplant.
And I planted the seedlings as shown in the photo. My dog, Sarah was just beside me and seems wondering what I'm doing hihi. My pets are always like her when I'm doing something.
The finish product are these three containers planted with eggplants. This seedlings were the seeds we asked from the farmer who planted this variety of eggplant then gained a profit with a total of 100 thousand. He planted in a half hectare.
He's also generous and said before that we can always get from it. That's why he's so blessed. Imagine that profit with just eggplants that's why I can say that there's anyone can be successful in farming.
Actually I can plant more of those eggplants but our neighbor asked for this kind of seedling because she saw it when she visited so I said that I will give the two to her. Plants connects us here and with the passion of gardening and farming, we developed strong bonds.
Updates on my plants.
If you remember the eggplants I planted in a recycled bucket before, here they are now. They grew heathy and continue to grow more until they bear fruit.
Also my chayotes are climbing their temporary poles already and it's making me happy because with this state of my plant for sure they will leave already. I plan to cut some bamboo that will serve as their pole before the end of this week.
Same with my bitter gourd. It grew well for the past days and I'm planning to plant it also in it's permanent container. I hope that this variety will bear long bitter gourds.
I planted ladies' fingers also together with string beans in an area near our home. This area is actually where I plant before but suddenly not even grass is growing in it so my plants are dying. I had a guess before that it was applied with herbicide, the strong one.
I'm glad that they are able to grow now and it seems the chemical has gone for good.
My tomatoes are also looking good so far and from what I can see in their state, they are near to harvest already. Can't wait to cook them with egg or just eat them raw.
I can't explain the happiness I'm feeling now despite the fact that I'm down for the past days. Whenever I'm with or visiting my plants, my mood changes for good and making me happy once again. That's why I love this one and became my passion.
And that's it, I hope you have a good day so far. Happy planting everyone, let's grow our own food. Let's go green.
-Plant,plant and you'll survive.
