Greetings 🤗 beautiful community. I hope you are having a beautiful day. This is my first post in this #HiveGarden community and I am taking the opportunity to participate in the #Creativegarden Challenge. Today Saturday I found out about the contest and taking advantage of the time and a little rushed, I thought I should present the story of an activity of a subject that I am taking in the 6th semester named Technology of agricultural production of the career of Rural Engineering. With this career I am very excited, I have born a love for plants because I have begun to relate to them since a part of the career covers them. The experiment consists of making an air layering, which has taken an adult lemon tree to do this work.

PROCESS

  • A branch is chosen 🌿 and the area to be cut is its bark.
  • With a razor, the bark is removed from the chosen branch.
  • An obstacle is made with the teipe to hold the glass.
  • A transparent glass cut in half.
  • The glass is inserted between the stem and previously removed the main bark.
  • Then glue the side of the cut glass with teipe.
  • Fill the glass with a substrate, in this case, I used worm humus and coconut fiber to increase the porosity.
  • Cover the glass around the top with a piece of black bag, because the black helps in the photosynthesis process.
  • Finally, it is watered with a manual watering can in the hole that we left in the previous step.

It is interesting to note that the use of worm humus and coconut fiber accelerates the process of growth of microorganisms and increases the nutrition of the plant.
This layering is left for 30 days.
The transparent glass will help us to visualize the root growth.

  • After 30 days we cut the branch.
  • And it is transplanted in a pot or desired area.
The objective is to obtain mature plants that will soon bear fruit. This is a very efficient and effective way to propagate the plant we want. Both fruit trees, ornamental and floral, and others.

I am waiting for the result that I will publish later.

For this activity I went to several nurseries in the area, in one I did not get any material, there they gave me the address of another nursery of a very active boy if I got everything I needed and also gave me some advice.

I arrived home happy and the next day I did the assembly in a plant in my brother's garden where my mom planted that lemon tree.

I invite you to participate @artsugar and @eylis this is it link although there is little time left ⏳. Without further ado, I bid you farewell, love you 💕. See you soon, Happy weekend.

That's a good tip, I'm going to try with a plant and see the result, thanks @ivycrafts. Interesting that race. Regards.

Thank you very much, I hope it works out for you, much success 💕.

Hello! We loved this post, and appreciate you sharing the instructions. We're not entirely sure what prompt you are writing about - perhaps next time you can explain that? The new challenge comes out July 15th, so don't forget to read all the guidelines carefully. We look forward to seeing more posts from you in the community!

Well, another time I will explain in detail what layering is all about. I would be grateful if you could include me in the notification of the month, so that I can be attentive in the participation of the following challenges.

Air-layering is very useful indeed, and one that we utilize quite a lot here. Our method is slightly different, but it has the same result. Great tutorial! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Applying this method brings many advantages and saves time. Thank you very much @tydynrain. Have a nice evening.

That's great that you found a very efficient method! Absolutely, you're most welcome! Thank you! Have an excellent new week! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
