Saludos querida comunidad, el día de hoy comparto con ustedes mi participación en el Splinterlands Art Contest Week 259 ,para el cual hice un colgante de pared hecho en técnica macramé, con el personaje de la carta Mischievous Mermaid, la cual es una maga con un gran poder, elegí este personaje por que quería hacer un personaje femenino con gran belleza pero a la vez con una expresión de ataque, en esta pose aparece como si estuviera lanzando un hechizo de ataque, así que esta era la indicada para mi.
Greetings dear community, today I share with you my participation in the Splinterlands Art Contest #259, for which I made a wall hanging made in the macramé technique, with the character from the card Mischievous Mermaid, which is a magician with a great power, I chose this character because I wanted to make a female character with great beauty but at the same time with an attacking expression, in this pose she appears as if she were casting an attacking spell, so this was the one for me.
Proceso / Process
El primer paso que hice fue recortar la imagen para hacer un rectángulo de las dimensiones que quería hacer el colgante de pared, de este modo pude hacer el patrón, determinando los colores a utilizar para los nudos de cada área de la figura. Escogí hacer el cabello con un tono más oscuro que el original, usando morado medio para la sombra, morado claro para el tono medio y rosado vieja para las luces, para cola de la sirena usé morado oscuro y morado medio. Para la piel usé dos tonos de verde, para la ostra que adorna el cabello y el corsét usé hilo vinotinto para la sombra, rojo para el tono medio y rosado para las luces además de dos tonos de grises, para los ojos y el interior de la boca usé dos tonos de azul y blanco, para el delineado de la figura usé hilo negro y para el fondo hilo azul. El total son 16 colores de hilo diferentes para ese proyecto.
The first step I did was cut out the image to make a rectangle of the dimensions I wanted to make the wall hanging, this way I could make the pattern, determining the colors to use for the knots in each area of the figure. I chose to make the hair with a darker tone than the original, using medium purple for the shadow, light purple for the medium tone and old pink for the highlights, for the mermaid tail I used dark purple and medium purple. For the skin I used two shades of green, for the oyster that adorns the hair and the corset I used burgundy thread for the shadow, red for the middle tone and pink for the highlights as well as two shades of gray for the eyes and the inside of I used two shades of blue and white for the mouth, for the outline of the figure I used black thread and for the background I used blue thread. The total is 16 different colors of thread for that project.
Para comenzar con el hilo azul corté 16 hebras de 60 cm y una hebra la dejé unida al ovillo. Sobre un palito de altura por la mitad del largo de cada hebra hice un nudo alondra para unir al palito, dejando la hebra pegada al ovillo a la izquierda, de este modo quedan 33 hilos guía y el hilo pegado al ovillo se usará para anudar. Sujeté el palito a la tabla con dos ganchos de ropa.
To start with the blue yarn I cut 16 strands of 60 cm and left one strand attached to the ball. On a stick half the length of each strand I made a lark knot to attach to the stick, leaving the strand attached to the ball on the left, this way there are 33 guide threads left and the thread attached to the ball will be used for knotting. I attached the stick to the board with two clothespins.
En la primera hilera hice 6 nudos con azul, agregué el hilo negro por detrás para hacer los primeros 10 nudos que corresponden al delineado de la parte superior de la cabeza, tomando en las siguientes hileras dichos nudos como guía para ubicación, usé hilo rosado en la parte superior de cada onda de cabello, el color morado claro en el centro mientras que el hilo morado medio lo usé para las áreas cercanas al delineado.
In the first row I made 6 knots with blue, I added the black thread behind to make the first 10 knots that correspond to the outline of the top of the head, taking these knots in the following rows as a guide for location, I used pink thread in the top of each wave of hair, the light purple color in the center while the medium purple thread I used for the areas close to the outline.
Continué agregando los colores correspondiente a los detalles del cabello como la ostra y el rostro con dos tonos de verde. El color azul de fondo no lo use de nuevo hasta la hilera 53. Es decir justo por debajo de la axila de la sirena y al final del cabello en la parte izquierda de la imagen.
I continued adding the colors corresponding to the details of the hair such as the oyster and the face with two shades of green. I didn't use the blue background color again until row 53. That is, just below the mermaid's armpit and at the end of the hair on the left side of the image.
Una vez que terminé la parte del corset haciendo cambios de colores muy frecuentes en los nudos de las hileras, fue un poco más sencillo hacer la cola de la sirena, porque el trabajo tiene menos colores la vez en esa área, sin embargo, la gran cantidad de hileras hizo que yo tardará uno 4 días haciendo este proyecto.
Once I finished the corset part by making very frequent color changes in the knots of the rows, it was a little easier to make the mermaid tail, because the work has fewer colors at a time in that area, however, the great number of rows meant that it took me about 4 days to do this project.
Finalice los nudos en la hilera 96 😁 y no podía creer lo hermoso que se veía la figura, dividí los hilos en 4 grupos e hice un nudo corredizo con hilo rojo en cada uno. Luego con el hilo azul corte 6 hebras de 20 cm e hice una trenza que anudo a cada lado del palito de altura para hacer el colgante de pared.
I finished the knots on row 96 😁 and I couldn't believe how beautiful the figure looked, I divided the threads into 4 groups and made a slip knot with red thread in each one. Then, with the blue thread, I cut 6 strands of 20 cm and made a braid that I tied on each side of the stick to make the wall hanging.
Resultado / Result
Estoy cada día más entusiasmada con esta técnica, sobre todo porque los personajes de Splinterlands son tan variados y coloridos que motivan mucho para hacer este tipo de trabajo. Espero que les guste.
I am more and more excited about this technique every day, especially because the characters in Splinterlands are so varied and colorful that they motivate a lot to do this type of work. I hope you like this one.
