Saludos querida comunidad, tal como la semana pasada estoy en una etapa de reciclaje, tratando de sacar provecho de los materiales tengo que cualquiera podría considerar inútiles, como les mostré el lunes pasado saqué de mi armario unas camisetas viejas que ya no servían e hice una alfombra, pero aun me quedaba por reciclar una camiseta de color gris, así que con esta camiseta y un poco del material que me sobró de las camisetas negras he hecho un Gatito al que le puse el nombre de Barquilla (cono de helado)
Greetings dear community, just like last week I was in a recycling stage, trying to take advantage of the materials I have that anyone could consider useless, as I showed you last Monday, I took some old shirts out of my closet that were no longer useful and I made a carpet, but I still had to recycle a gray t-shirt, so with this t-shirt and some of the material that was left over from the black t-shirts I have made a Kitten that I named Barquilla (ice cream cone)
Antes de comenzar a contarles sobre el proceso de elaboración quiero decir que siempre tengo en cuenta el título de un disco de la banda holandesa Asrai, este es “Pearls in the dirt”, siempre que consigo algo valioso dentro de lo que los demás consideran basura digo que existen perlas en la basura, por eso creo que este Gatito antes de ser lo que es vivía sin forma en un basurero pero solo con amor vio la vida a través de mis manos, son estas metáforas y pensamientos los que me dan la motivación para seguir reciclando cada vez que puedo aunque mi mamá me siga regañando por decir que acumulo cosas.
Before I begin to tell you about the production process, I want to say that I always keep in mind the title of an album by the Dutch band Asrai, this is “Pearls in the dirt”, whenever I find something valuable within what others consider garbage. I say that there are pearls in the garbage, that's why I think that this Kitten, before being what he is, lived without form in a garbage dump but only with love did he see life through my hands, it is these metaphors and thoughts that give me motivation to continue recycling whenever I can even though my mom keeps scolding me for saying that I accumulate things.
Materiales/ Materials
- 1 camiseta vieja y solo un pedazo de otra camiseta vieja o tela similar
- Residuos de fibras e hilos obtenidos al realizar otros proyectos (los pedazos pequeños que se descartan o están en mal estado para tejer)
- 2 perlas de plástico para los ojos , es opcional hacerlos con la misma tela.
- 1 pedazo de cinta y un dije de algún collar viejo.
- Ganchillo # 5
- Tijera
- Aguja de ojal grande
- 1 old t-shirt and only a piece of another old t-shirt or similar fabric
- Waste of fibers and threads obtained when carrying out other projects (the small pieces that are discarded or are in poor condition for weaving)
- 2 plastic pearls for the eyes, it is optional to make them with the same fabric.
- 1 piece of ribbon and a charm from an old necklace.

Proceso/ Process
Se debe cortar la camiseta para formar tiras de al menos 1, 5 cm de ancho, esto de debe hacer de forma continua siguiendo una trayectoria de espiral para aprovechar al máximo la tela, luego se hacer una bola con estas tiras y ya están listas para comenzar a trabajar.
The shirt must be cut to form strips at least 1.5 cm wide, this must be done continuously following a spiral path to make the most of the fabric, then these strips are made into a ball and they are ready to be used to work.
Cabeza / Head
Con la tela gris hacer 4 cadenas de base.
1 Ronda: 1 aumento, 2 puntos bajos 1 aumento y repetir. IMPORTANTE: Hacer la mitad de puntadas en color negro y a partir de esta medida ir disminuyendo en las rondas siguientes el número de puntadas en negro para formar un triángulo.
2 Ronda: 2 aumentos, 2 puntos bajos 2 aumentos y repetir.
3 Ronda: 1 punto bajo, 1 aumento, 1 punto bajo, 1 aumento, 2 puntos bajos, 1 aumento, 1 punto bajo, 1 aumento, 1 punto bajo y repetir.
4-6 Ronda: 30 puntos bajos
7 Ronda: 1 punto bajo, 1 disminución, 1 punto bajo, 1 disminución, 2 puntos bajos, 1 disminución, 1 punto bajo, 1 disminución, 1 punto bajo y repetir.
8 Ronda: 2 disminuciones, 2 puntos bajos 2 disminuciones y repetir.
9 Ronda: 12 puntos bajos.

Cuerpo / Body
Hacer 3 aumentos por 6 rondas intercalando el color negro en las puntadas de la espalda del gato.
Make 3 increases for 6 rounds inserting the black color in the stitches of the cat's back.
Con solo color gris hacer 6 disminuciones en la siguiente ronda. Luego tomando solo el lado de atrás hacer 12 disminuciones. Como lo dije este gato está hecho con solo materiales de reciclaje, así que aquí muestro el frasco donde voy depositando “la basura” cuando estoy tejiendo otras cosas, este es el momento idóneo para hacer uso de este relleno reciclado. Rellenar el cuerpo y cerrar con 6 disminuciones.
With only gray color make 6 decreases in the next round. Then taking only the back side make 12 decreases. Orejas / Ears
Tomando como distancia la 3 ronda de los lados levantar 1 punto, en el siguiente hacer juntos 1 punto medio alto, 1 punto alto, 2 cadenas, 1 punto alto, 1 punto medio alto. Luego en el siguiente hacer 1 punto deslizado y esconder la hebra por dentro.

Para las patas se debe hacer 6 puntos bajos en un anillo y en la siguiente ronda hacer tres veces 1 punto bajo seguido de un aumento para obtener 8 puntos. Cerrar con 1 punto deslizado y coser la pata (hacer dos). Para la cola se debe hacer 6 puntos bajos en una anillo tejer 6 rondas sin aumentos variando el color. Se cierra con punto deslizado y se cose al cuerpo.

Coser las perlas plásticas para los ojos tomar la misma tela negra y bordar la nariz y boca, colocar la cinta alrededor del cuelo con el pendiente y hacer un lazo, el pendiente es de forma de una Barquilla o cono de helado, por eso le puse ese nombre al gato.

Resultado / Result
Este Gatito llamado Barquilla al estar tejido con tela es pesado, es decir, no crean que tiene la suavidad de un peluche, sin embargo, esto lo hace aún más lindo porque parece una figura idónea para estar en una mesa de escritorio o sobre una mesita en la sala de estar, su peso evita que este se tumbe y es muy resistente. Yo veo el resultado y simplemente no puedo creer que este hecho con “material” que cualquiera botaría.
This Kitten called Barquilla, being woven with fabric, is heavy, that is, do not think that it has the softness of a stuffed animal, however, this makes it even cuter because it looks like an ideal figure to be on a desk or on a small table. in the living room, its weight prevents it from falling over and it is very resistant. I see the result and I just can't believe that it's made with “stuff” that anyone would throw away.
