Saludos querida comunidad, hoy estoy muy feliz de compartir con ustedes un nuevo logro en la técnica de macramé se trata de un colgante de pared con la imagen del rostro de Hanamichi Sakuragi, personaje del manga y anime japonés Slam Dunk que es unos de mis favoritos desde la niñez y que actualmente después de más de 25 años se estrenó una película, motivo por el cual vi nuevamente el anime para recordar viejos tiempos y además disfruté la nueva película al máximo en compañía de mi hijo. Ahora bien en términos de trabajo con hilos estoy súper satisfecha porque pude hacer un patrón usando una imagen de referencia, poniendo en práctica con mucha paciencia mis habilidades en dibujo y color, haciendo que quedara lo más cercano posible a un retrato del personaje.
Greetings dear community, today I am very happy to share with you a new achievement in the macramé technique, it is a wall hanging with the image of the face of Hanamichi Sakuragi, a character from the Japanese manga and anime Slam Dunk who is one of my favorites since childhood and currently after more than 25 years a movie was released, which is why I watched the anime again to remember old times and also enjoyed the new movie to the fullest in the company of my son. Now, in terms of working with threads, I am super satisfied because I was able to make a pattern using a reference image, patiently putting my drawing and color skills into practice, making it as close as possible to a portrait of the character.
Proceso / Process
Para hacer este colgante usé hilo acrílico para crochet de diferentes colores según el área del dibujo, escogí hacer el fondo de color amarillo, para el cabello usé un color vino tinto para la sombra, rojo para color principal y naranja para el brillo. Para la piel usé un color beige oscuro para la sombra, beige trigo para color principal y beige claro para las luces, para la el interior de la boca usé un color vino tinto oscuro y rosado claro para la lengua, para la camiseta del personaje usé los colores vino tinto y rojo, además del blanco. El delineado es con hilo negro. Para este colgante usé un palito de chupeta, me gusta reciclar cada vez que puedo así que aunque pudiera haber usado un palito de madera me pareció conveniente hacer uso de los palitos de chupeta que ha consumido mi hijo 😄. Usé dos ganchos de ropa como soporte y una tabla.
To make this wall hanging I used acrylic yarn to crochet in different colors depending on the area of the drawing, I chose to make the background yellow, for the hair I used a red wine color for the shadow, red for the main color and orange for the brightness. For the skin I used a dark beige for the shadow, wheat beige for the main color and light beige for the highlights, for the inside of the mouth I used a dark red wine color and light pink for the tongue, for the character's shirt I used the colors red wine and red, in addition to white. The outline is with black thread. For this wall hanging I used a lollipop stick, I like to recycle whenever I can so even though I could have used a wooden stick I thought it would be convenient to use the lollipop sticks that my son has consumed 😄. I used two clothespins for support and a board.
Con el hilo amarillo corté 13 hebras de 60 cm y una última hebra la dejé pegada al ovillo. Uní cada hebra por la mitad al palito haciendo un nudo que tiene por nombre alondra. De este modo quedan 27 hilos guía de 30 cm y un hilo de anudar pegado al ovillo.
With the yellow thread I cut 13 strands of 60 cm and kept one last strand attached to the ball. I joined each strand in half to the stick making a knot that has the name lark. In this way, there are 27 guide threads of 30 cm and a knotting thread attached to the ball.
Con la hebra larga hice cinco hileras de nudos simples, es decir que la hebra que anuda envuelve dos veces a cada hilo guía, de ida y vuelta hasta completar las cinco hileras. A partir de la sexta hilera agregué el hilo negro, luego el rojo, el vino tinto y el naranja para hacer cabello según el dibujo.
With the long thread I made five rows of simple knots, that is to say that the thread that ties wraps each guide thread twice, back and forth until completing the five rows. From the sixth row I added the black thread, then the red, the red wine and the orange to make hair according to the drawing.
Al llegar al nivel de la frente del personaje, agregué los tres tonos de beige para la piel del personaje, agregué el blanco al llegar a nivel de los ojos, el color beige oscuro se usa en las zonas menos iluminadas del rostro por ejemplo en las ojeras y el cuello.
When I reached the level of the character's forehead, I added the three strands of beige tones for the character's skin, I added the white when I reached the level of the eyes, the dark beige color is used in the least illuminated areas of the face for example in the dark circles and neck.
El blanco también lo agregué para los dientes, que hacen bastante contraste con el interior de la boca abierta del personaje. Los nudos siguen siendo simples pero es un trabajo que requiere mucha atención en la utilización de la gran variedad de todos de hilo, aunque haya colores parecidos una pequeña equivocación puede cambiar la imagen. Igualmente en el área de la camiseta de baloncesto, el uso de hilo color vino tinto crea la sombra que genera la ilusión visual de pliegues en al tela, es decir que visualmente no es un dibujo completamente plano.
I also added the white thread for the teeth, which make quite a contrast with the inside of the character's open mouth. The knots are still simple but it is a job that requires a lot of attention in the use of the wide variety of threads, even if there are similar colors, a small mistake can change the image. Also in the area of the basketball jersey, the use of red wine thread creates the shadow that generates the visual illusion of folds in the fabric, that is to say that visually it is not a completely flat drawing.
Al terminar de hacer los nudos, dividí los 27 hilos guía en tres partes, con hilo rojo hice tres nudos y corté los hilos amarillos. Con 6 hebras de color amarillo hice una trenza para anudar en cada extremo con el palito de chupeta y así finalmente terminar de hacer el colgante para la pared.
When I finished making the knots, I divided the 27 guide threads into three parts, with red thread I made three knots and cut the yellow threads. With 6 yellow strands I made a braid to tie at each end with the lollipop stick and thus finally finish making the wall hanging.
Resultado / Result
Este ha sido uno de los proyectos que más he disfrutado hacer, porque el proceso me permitió ampliar mi aprendizaje en la elaboración de patrones a partir de figuras más complejas, con diferentes tonalidades que tiene el mismo principio de color y claroscuro que una pintura tradicional, pero hecha completamente con hilos, yo estoy muy feliz porque además adoro al personaje. Espero a ustedes le guste.
This has been one of the projects that I have enjoyed doing the most, because the process allowed me to expand my learning in the elaboration of patterns from more complex figures, with different tones that have the same color and chiaroscuro principle as a traditional painting, but made entirely with threads, I am very happy because I also adore the character.
