Greetings dear community, today I am very happy to share with you the result of many days of work and that represents a new stage of entrepreneurship in my life, for the first time I made an amigurumi tutorial in exclusive PDF format for sale and the motivation and support It came from the hand of a Hiver, that's why here I tell you the details of this whole process.
A few weeks ago I made a post in another of my favorite Hive communities, it is the @ladiesofhive community, in this post I answered the community contest questions that were related to the challenges I had to innovate and move forward, the ideas that I had regarding my entrepreneurship and what tools I had to start my projects, I made the publication exposing my ideas to advance with respect to amigurumis and how it was difficult for me to sell the figures but that it was more difficult to sell patterns for the inconveniences of receiving payments with foreign currency in my country, I received good comments from several Hiver, but @silversaver888 told me that an alternative is to receive payments through Hive, she asked me to design a pattern of a mermaid amigurumi and she I would become my first client in the sale of patterns, I was very excited about the idea, she sent me a reference image and I received her payment of 6 Hive directly to my wallet, she told me not to rush me but since I was very motivated the next day I bought the materials for the mermaid.
Elaboración de la Sirena / Creating the mermaid
@silversaver888's requirements regarding the mermaid's design were pink hair and a large size, I had doubts regarding the materials because I always use 1mm crochet thread and #4 1.25mm crochet hook, I know that in others countries it is easier to get yarn of different thicknesses, that's why I did a size conversion test, that's why the pattern can be used to make an even bigger mermaid if you use a 2mm yarn with a 1.75mm crochet hook. Once I figured out the scale I made my drawing sketch and started crocheting 😍 it took me 6 full-time days to finish the mermaid.
It took me 3 days to design the written pattern, that's why I'm telling you about the inconveniences I had and the lessons learned. Although they were very frustrating days, I have learned that it is better to work with what you have and improve as much as possible, but giving up is never an option. Since December I have been working only from my cell phone, this is because my computer is very old and does not work well because it does not allow updates, so I copied the text on my cell phone in Word and I made the photo collages as always from the same phone. As many times I design the covers of my posts in Hive with the Canva application, I decided to use that application for the design of the tutorial pages, it took me a day to make the design, Canva automatically saves the project in its cloud, for this you just have to be connected to the Internet, but at night when I finally gave it the save option, which it does is download the images in the cell phone's memory in Jpg format, the application froze, when I came back they were only backed up in the cloud 14 pages of the 32 that I had designed 😭 . The next day I went back to do the missing pages but again the application when trying to download the images gave an error, in a nutshell the design was saved there with no way to download it. I'm not going to blame the app completely and neither is my phone because it has a good memory, I think the problem with Canva is that it doesn't work well with slow connections like the one at home, so I hope this information will be useful for others Hivers
I was filled with courage, I decided that I would turn on my computer and work there with its limitations, on my computer it is not good to use photoshop so I knew that I would not choose that program, so as in my student years and even my beginnings in the blockchain I decided use Microsoft Publisher 2007 😄 I confess that although it is a slightly outdated program it did not disappoint me like the mobile application, I worked more comfortably there although I had to make the template from scratch.
When I saw my finished work I couldn't believe it, I was crying with emotion, however I couldn't convert it to pdf from there, I tried to use an online file to pdf conversion service but when I converted it the file appeared without some images, like this that I had to manually convert the sheets into images and then transfer them to my cell phone that has Office Word and from there convert the images into a single pdf file.
On the other hand, since I couldn't use photoshop on the computer while I have other things open, I downloaded an app on my cell phone to erase the background of the mermaid images, but it was a total disappointment, the cut edges were too jagged and I even took part of the mermaid's arms, that's why my colleagues from Hive helped me again, in this case my friend @Yetsimar did me the favor of erasing the backgrounds of the images of the result of the mermaid, I am very grateful to her.

Resultado / Result
From this experience I can recover a great learning, until now for fear of my limitations in terms of work tools (such as the computer), I had not even tried to design a pdf pattern intended for sale, I had blocked myself from respect and now although I know it is hard work, it is another step up in the achievement of my goals and my entrepreneurship with amigurumis. I will continue uploading valuable content on my blog and publishing free tutorials, but I also hope to continue making extensive tutorials for sale like this one. PD: if you want to buy the pattern its value is 6 Hive
