Hello hivers,how are you all doing,this is a portrait drawing of a guy holding his cap,a challenging commissioned work stumbled on recently,I couldn't recover the progress shots but here we are,its a detailed and strenuous one,the most challenging part of the work for me is the hand and the nose as well as rendering the reflection of the light on the skin perfectly,
Trying to blend or mix Pen/ink can be very tricky and funny sometimes as it may result to something else entirely (another color)which is irreversible
As you can see the reflection of light on his side,cheek,the blue reflection on his neck beneath the jaw and highlights
The proportion of the hand can also be very tricky because it's not connected to the body,not in full form,it almost became too big
Beautiful people this is my piece this evening,it was made with ball point pen, cardboard and graphite powder for the background,thanks for checking,your comments are welcomed
