MATERIALS I USED
- Straws
- Broomsticks
- Rapping paper in colour(Red, green and silver)
- Empty packs of biscuits, toothpaste, and oatmeal.
- Yarn 🧶in colour (Gold)
- Empty water can
- Small quantity of Dry sand and stones
- Pin/ needles
- Gum ( Paper gum)
- Scissors for cutting
- Toilet papaer
STEPS TO FOLLOW
STEP 1
Get two straws at a time and 2 broomsticks. The broomstick would serve as the body of the tree and the straws as the branches.
We Pierce with a pin/needle two holes in the middle of the straw and pass the broomstick inside to make the branches of the tree. We continue till we get to the tip of the broomstick that looks thin and weak just like a treetop.
Then we cut/ trim straw into a triangle shape.
Step 2
We cut some pieces of green wrapping paper into a rectangular shapes and cut the edges like a comb. This would serve as the leaves on the tree.
After cutting the paper, we cut in sizeable shapes to suit the straw branches as leaves.
We place the leaves on the branches with paper gum and place them on the straw.
Step 4
We make some balls with wrapping paper to hang on the tree and tie them with yarn thread and placed them with gum and toilet paper to cover the rope on the tree.
Step 4
Get the empty water can cut into equal half in a cup shape to be our stand for the tree fill half of the cup with sand, and stone and wrap around the cup with green wrapping paper.
In addition, we cut the empty boxes of biscuits and wrap them with different wrapping paper and tie them with coloured rope as gift boxes to place at the foot of the tree.
We cut a star shape from the wrapping paper and place it at the top of the tree.
Behold my beautiful Christmas tree.
