Yesterday morning I went to my first decompression chiro appointment and it was amazing. Each visit my body loosens up and the muscles relax enough for my spine to reseat. It isn't permanent so it is back out pretty quick but at least I get relief for a while. I got home then after the wonderful adjustment and had to just sit and relax for a while so as not to destroy the work done.
My first task of the day then was to get my Antminer S9 moved into the greenhouse to use it as the heater. There is no reason to run a oil heater and heat lamp and heat tape in the ground when I can just run my bitcoin miner and get back a bit of the money I am spending on the cost of power to heat the greenhouse. It meant I had to run the last of the spool of cat5 cable from the house to the greenhouse. I am super happy I have pull tape to get the wire through the sleeves.
Terminate each end and make sure the stupid wires are right. Such a pain sometimes when the wires have kinks in them. The just wont seat properly without fighting them.
The greenhouse was 60F when I puled the oil heater at 11:45.
All I did was haul the milk crate with S9 and power supply up and set them in the inner plastic of the greenhouse. There is not or super minimal condensation in the inner plastic so the thing will be protected fully.
I was pretty happy to walk in later to find it sitting at 68F after only a couple hours. This bodes well for having a really nice and warm greenhouse year round.
And it hashing away happily while it heats the air for me.
After picking the boys up from school I worked myself up enough to go out and fill the potholes on our road. It is "county maintained" but that only really means they will plow it for us. There has never been a road crew patching potholes on our road. It wouldn't be so bad if the street sweeper didn't come down the road and remove all the gravel from the potholes. So I go shovel every now and then.
The worst of them was right at the intersection but thankfully most of the gravel has been shoved to the side and I am able to carry shovels full to the holes.
I was super worked after the shoveling and had to rest for a while. I could feel the migraine sensation building and I had to avert it at all costs. After cooling down I was able to watch some hockey before the boys ended up making dinner. Soaked for a bit shorter time as I was beat.
Today I have my next chiro appointment which will be head decompression, then I will be checking on the greenhouse and likely watering since the moving air will wick the soil, get the boys to and from school, likely work on the road a bit more as there were a few holes I missed, then will figure out something for dinner early since R has wrestling practice this evening.
