#needlework
Hello everyone, this is another appreciation post but this time it's my personal assistant. Tomorrow is her birthday and she made this beautiful corset top.
Firstly like me she does not have a lot of crochet fits so this time she decided to make a crochet corset top. In the months she has wired with me there has been a whole lot she had to adapt to and also learn to do to make work easier for her. And one fun fact about this is that she has the same stitches as me so it's easy to switch projects and no one will notice the difference.
In the early stage of her working with me she had to learn from me and at some point i made her go to places on my behalf so she will get used to interacting with our clients and suppliers to o and she did get used to it after a while and started being flexible with how she handed multi tasking
I am really bad at saying long epistles or really praising people but I think everyone will agree with me when I say it is not easy to find someone that is compatible especially when it is a work environment and it happens on very rare occasions. I have left the shop in her care many times and she does not make the trainees or clients feel my absence and I do not know if anyone would ever wish for more.
I also want to commend her effort because I have seen her grow tremendously over the months and it has been an honor to watch her grow all this time from a crochet beginner to an advanced crocheter. I am beyond proud at this point.
In the process of making this crochet top she had a lot of doubts about if it would come as nice if she would like it after making it, what if she can't wear it or it wouldn't fit her and all that which is normal for fiber artists when they are making things for themselves. She got tired at some point and wanted to stop. She is the only one that knows how she kept on pushing till she finally finished the top. It might look really really simple but trust me it is not.it is ver far from simple.
She used single crochet stitches, a 3.0mm hook and a thin yarn. We all know how frustrated single crochet stitches are especially for big projects like this. The .best part was when she finished and covered up the stitches, the yarns that were sticking out, made some beautiful designs on the top, and another thing was the loops and rope for the necks and the criss cross behind but my girl aced it beautifully.
I really hope she sees this post and knows how proud I am of her. Happy birthday in advance my girl.
Ps: the pictures used here belong to me and were taken with my mobile phone.
