This week in English class we made igloos. Most kids in Taiwan have never even seen snow, but igloo is a common word when learning the alphabet sounds.
So we prepared simple materials.
A plastic half sphere
Pieces of cardboard
And very lightweight clay. This class is very different from the stuff i grew up with. It’s light and very sticky if not properly handled.
Hence, there are no pictures of the first steps of putting the class on the cardboard. I had to help a few students that didn’t follow directions and their hands were covered with clay
Anyway, after covering the cardboard with clay, we put the plastic in the middle and then build around it.
The students had fun and only one student could do it even with assistance. The class kept sticking to him, so i helped him make his.
All and all a fun day.
