Yes, I've used it before also, sometimes with success. The white on the pipe is actually just that. It didn't work this time, I think because I couldn't get it to be 100% dry before applying. I then tried Wet or Dry (black tar), which I've used before sometimes with success. No luck this time, it worked for a day but then swelled up and eventually burst through. Yesterday I tried plumber's epoxy (EP 200). So far, so good. I feel this might have done the trick.
