Just a regular day at the homeschool.
It's 10 am and my students were nowhere to be found. Hmm. Where could they be? A quick check around and I found one sitting on the couch munching on his sandwich. The other, in front of the laptop, trying to figure out "variables" in her coding lessons.
On to other lessons, we moved on and did some Language Arts exercises. One thing caught their attention (well, the worksheet asked for it to be found) - "ping-pong".
The interest shifted more towards ping-pong. They remembered the ping-pong set their dad kept in the cabinet. It was there for many years, never opened even once. We don't have a table to play it on. That's why.
The next I knew, the Little Man was already clearing up the table. Apparently, we can use the dining table a.k.a. homeschool table as the ping-pong table.
Hmmm, someone's in a mood to clean up!
I was torn on whether to stop him or not. Besides, it's not every day that this Little Man gets in the mood to clean up. Haha.
The All-Around Table
Before I knew it our dining table got converted into a new utility -- a ping-pong table! As expats in a tiny apartment, this dining table serves as our homeschooling table too.
Today, it became a ping-pong table!
Not that any of us was good at it. I never played this game ever in my entire existence. So we ended up slapping the ball then chasing it afterward.
The Little Man was very interested in it and I could say, was the best among all of us.
"Just try to catch it real quick!"
"Focus!"
"Eyes on the ball."
These were his tips for us.
Recreation Table
Later in the afternoon, it was apparent that we were not going back to academics again today. I found the chessboard laid out on what used to be a dining table turned homeschool table turned ping-pong table. It was just transformed into a recreation table!
The kids played chess while the teacher-mommy tried to progress on her 1000-piece puzzle.
I hope you can see my progress on the puzzle. On the left photo is what it looked like 8 days ago and on the right is today's. I'm pretty proud of myself. Haha.
Homeschoolers always find a way, do you agree? My kids today even came to a point of wanting to make an improvised net for the ping-pong table but Little Man just ended up making his arm as the net. Lol.
It was another fun and a spontaneous day at our little homeschool. I wonder how it will go tomorrow.
How about you, how are things coming along in yours?
