Wait... This doesn't tell me what a Rigger is!!

Posted via D.Buzz

Short answer, riggers attach things to cranes and lift heavy stuff.
Little more complicated than that, but that's the jist of it.

Oh, thanks for explaining... You need a licence for that?

I think that most activities that may cause harm when attempted without sufficient knowledge require licenses. 🤔

Me: *Looks at the many people fixing high-risk electricity stuff without a license in Libya.

Y-yeah... Right!

This made me chuckle, but I agree about the necessity of it. Especially when it's a big project with a whole firm at stake!

I think that the contractor should be responsible for hiring skilled laborers to minimize the risk of accidents. 🤔😅

What I meant with "harm" is not just harm to oneself, but also harm to others when the activity is done without sufficient knowledge. 🤔

Yep. Saw an Iron worker lose his legs because of bad rigging. Another guy in that same incident ended up with a nasty orbital fracture. They knew better and did it anyway though.

What do you exactly mean with "They knew better"? 🤔 Maybe they were just forced to do their jobs because they really needed money. 😔
