Many things were left behind as I on the road South towards the sun and away from Nha Trang. I want to see a peninsula that looked interesting from the maps I stare at.
As thought the smoke comes off the top of the mountain. I stop to take this site in. Each moment as I travel through this space bring about the ever more impressed upon feeling that this might just be the place.
I have to stop and look around. I take pictures as I gaze the surround.
The field in front, the water ways below, they are all connected together, like all the streams that flow.
I wonder what it is like to be here every day? What it would be like to wake to this place and know no other way. What would each and every day bring to the tune of the fields and all that ensues.
I wonder more then I can ever have answers for.
I move along and make my way to the peninsula by the name of, Cam Lập Cam Ranh, Khánh Hòa in the beautiful country of Vietnam.
Here is what I came across at the intriguing wall that looked like it was from antiquity.
What has happened....what is this place? Why is it trashed and such a disgrace?
How could we do this to a place so fine, by the waters line as the sludge seeps around and washes out to the sea. I see more disgust of the human condition.
As thought the ground below is now so packed with trash that it has become the ground below my feet. How thick is this place...how long has this been happening that now this place has colour from the sky?
Slick and green and the decay in-between the cesspool has gathered in the heart of this place.
To stand on a long road and see the trash stretched out longer then the road is perplexing to me.
In a few degree turned, the whole place changes from green slime pools with trash to this subtle sublime picture of a moment of tranquility....if only you don't smell the smell.
Lets turn back and see the corner....
Dare us to look...
Why, whos the pig here?
There is benefit in the trash of this all.
I like how this hog just keeps on mulching walking along and crunching as it goes.
It stats to walk closer and I just stand there. We don't care to hurt each other and so we can exist together.
The swine walks to me and lifts it head from the tuff of hair that sprouts from on top. It looks, stops, turns and chews. Not bothered by me standing here it keeps on doing what it does in the place of piled up trash.
I just cannot get enough of this spot.
Into the bag swine and fine goes.
Had enough, time to go.
From this angle you can see that she is a mommy. I wonder where the young are. She is probably out gathering resources to go back to feel the young.
She saunters on along and I decide this time i need to go find a place to stop of the rest of the day and night.
The ride was nice and easy with some curves that had good road to ride. As I make my way south the road are getting better for the most part. I stopped along the way to take some time to take in the day and then was mortified to have found the last pictures of the ground.
How have we let a small area peninsula island rock outcrop become the place to drop and slop all the trash from all around.
This mind set is profound. Perhaps it has washed up from others shores and now sits here and becomes the home for pigs and seine. This thought is not a criticism, it is just a different view on a common problem that is all around the world. Why not make laws about banning made to brake, planned obsolescence junk products the are all the market is filled with these days.
Where is the design awards for items hat last and and be upgraded, reused and recycled. Where is the Reduction? I aim for these ideals in my own life and that is all I can do, my part to not take part.
--> Have you been here, have you explored this area? You should leave a comment about what you saw and then we can shat.
