Time was right to move towards the next city to fulfill the next leg of the trip today. That brings us to town where rice is spread across the streets on sheets to dry and let the winds blow away the sheaf of the grain of rice.
The texture is like the grains of sand across the desert.
I cannot get over the texture and look of this. To think they food is spread out on the road as cars and trucks drive by spewing exhaust fumes on the food is odd to me. I suppose there is no other place to dry the grains. The texture enthrals.
It is time to move on from the grains on the road to the flowers of the cacti 'Nopales' that brings forward the fruit of the prickly pear cactus.
It is as if the fruit of this cactus is reaching out to give you a prick and a sweet drip of yummy from a cactus that I have not seen in this area before. It is fascinating how plants of different variety grow on different continents.
They seem to share a common thread of plants on the different parts of the earth.
Not the most ripe and ready but it is almost there. Ready to prick your hands if you hold it wrong, the prickly pear cactus fruit is something that needs to be tasted to know what it is and the unique flavour that it has. Worth the efforts to eat.
Lets move on to another flower of which I do not know the name of.
Lets get in closer to the edge of the flower to see what else is happening in this space.
What a sight to see the beauty of these flowers seemed to have been eaten a bit.....can we see why?
Ahh yes the caterpillar, mulching away as it goes along. Just like humans eating as they go and one day have to get inside the chrysalis and grow up from the ground and have a look around on wings grown from the evolution of the soul.
But not today. Long way till this caterpillar get into a cocoon and grow some wings. Lets leave it be and more on to more to see.
We moved on and onto a bridge that stretches from the land on both sides and connects the place and space.
There is reason to stop and take in the view. Another setting sun along the long bridge that bring us closer to home for the night.
As the world turns and I stand still the phots come along and I click away to capture those sunlight moments that soon fade away. I feel something here starched across the water.
Perhaps it is the view of the thought of standing on heavy cement pillars and not sinking into the ocean. Perhaps it is the moment of time that makes me reflect of where I have been and where I am going to go see and explore more.
Perhaps it is the stopping and letting the moment come to me and let me be by the sounds of the cars rushing by and going on far away as they take the sound of the engine with them.
There is so much to see in each direction here standing in the water to some extent.
Dare I 'Forger' the street and go to the other side and take pictures from there....yes of course I shall.
This sepia shot turned out well... all the other ones did not.
What is that Green sun over there?
The road clears and yet the sounds drift on as the vibrations through my feet carry me a bit.
The bikes as they stand there.
From where we came from...
To where we are heading.
We mount the metal steeds and get on the way to the next town for it will get late and dark and I don't particularly drive at night. Just to take one more risk off the table in a country that people can get in trouble with when they think they are invincible.
When we arrived it looked like this....what is this? Can you guess? Ill send you a prize if you guess what this picture is.
That was it for the day. We knew where we were heading and where we wee staying for the night so we went there and make a night of it. More to come and more to be said about what goes on the next day as this could be something that is weird of run....well find out.
These pictures were taken on the ride south along many roads and side roads and turn around and wanders. I was not directing the direction and went with the flow of a friend who lead the way. I did not decide and just went with the ride and took in what there was to see along the way.
--> Have you been here, have you explored the area outside your back door?
- Thanks for having a look at some pictures as the direction was not the most direct and yet it provided much cultural insight to the place and space that is Vietnam. Thanks for having an eyeful of that which I saw.
Check out Pinmapple for my map of places that I have been and will go back to in time.
