I have consciously asked myself many times if really putting on makeup matters and today i decided to answer that question by practicing on my seven years old daughter and i can tell you that i got my answer.
I felt terrible.
I remember when i was still single i do not joke with my makeup atall. I cannot step out without applying atleast powder on my face but nowadays the reverse is the case. I can attend occassions, parties, office work without putting on a single makeup and still feel pretty.
But take a look at the difference a makeup from an amateur like me made
Well i have made up my mind to be making up atleast to church services and maybe other occassions. I deserve to be beautiful and i will make conscious effort to make it a habit.
MAKEUP FROM AN AMATEUR LIKE ME
I don't really have much makeup kits like those that are into makeup do. I just have the most important ones that are necessary to get your face looking nice and beautiful.
So let me introduce to you all my model for today's makeup. My seven years old daughter Muna. She was super excited about the whole thing and was hurrying me so that we can get to her favourite part of the show.
First of all i applied face primer on her face and leave to dry before applying oil block. I also leave for few seconds to dry.
Next is the foundation. I applied a generous amount of superstay foundation and blend together.
I applied concealer under her eyes, on the forehead, nose and jaw. Blend in too.
I use a pencil to darken her eyebrows. I am not yet perfect in drawing eyebrow yet but we can do with this one right?.
I applied a little eye shadow on her and also used a little concealer to make the eyebrow more pronounced.
I applied my favourite red lipstick. I love this color so much and it can go with any color.
My daughter was so happy and she was in love with the lipstick that she even said that she won't ever wash it away. Her junior sister who was skeptical about joining us in the makeup section started throwing tantrums to get her own face done but where is the strength to embark on another makeup section?.
These makeup artists are really trying. I know my makeup is not that perfect but i am certain that i can do better if i remain consistent in making up and not go back to my nornal natural look always.
I know simplicity and looking natural is good but it is also good to spice up our face once in a while and look good for ourselves.
