Today is day $#470 on my jive to 200K Hive Power. That's right! A journey I started a year and half ago and have not quit, have not looked back and have only gained momentum towards my goal.
My Journey started on September 10th, 2022 and the plan is to have reached 236, 530 Hive Power on December 31, 2029. That's a total of 2671 days of which I've completed 470, that's 17.6% of the way with less than 1% variation from my target.

That's only 30 $HIVE away from my target. Basically nothing!
Something interesting will happen on Jan 1, 2024. My daily earnings target as an author as well as curator will go up slightly:
Author rewards target will go from 10 to 14
Curation rewards target will go from 5 to 6.78
Total daily rewards target will go from 26 to 34
Curation
My current curation APR for the week has been way low! 2.95%. But it's the holidays, so I'll cut myself some slack. I will drive my self to get back on track, which is usually between 7.0% and 8.0% which is done all manually and respecting my principles on curations which are voting on content that is:
- Valuable to the ecosystem
- Interesting/valuable to me
- From users who are valuable to the community
- Shows effort
- Original
The posts I vote on don't have to meet all criteria; just any one of the ones listed above with the highest weight given to the first category.
Content creation
2024 will be a big year for content creation within the Hive ecosystem. I'm working on at least two podcast ideas as well as regular video content as well as written blog posts. I'd rather not give too much detail right now, but they will be geared towards highlighting community members and real world use cases for the tools that are available on our blockchain.
One quick example is businesses that accept $HBD
The other one is tutorials. I think there can never bee too many ways of teaching newcomers how to do something like how to use Hive Engine for example. That might be something very basic for a lot of us here, but it might be completely foreign to someone new and/or maybe less tech savvy.
Milestones
At this point, it looks like I'm going to hit my Dec 31 2023 milestone. I should be hitting Orca status around mid 2024.
