My dear hivers and stitch lovers. we are still in flirty fashion, remembering that style is more than just bows, it is everything that elevates femininity and the subtlety of it, such as: pearls, feathers, flowers. That's why today I come with a couple of tutorials: 2 Ways to Make Fabric Flowers for Chokers.
In general terms I used the same materials, what varies is the color and the assembly techniques, is a very successful project for scraps, like fabric upcycling:: satin fabric, scissors, lighter, thread, silicon, string. For the violet flower, I cut 8 petals, burned the edges with the lighter, thus sealing the fabric, then joined them with hand stitches, one on top of the other.
Once all the pieces were joined together, I folded it, giving it the shape of a flower, then I cut another piece of fabric in a circular shape, this is the base of our flower choker and sewed it to the cord next to the flower, leaving the cord in the middle of the pieces. Then, with hot silicon I decorated it with some artificial pearls and secured the base with the cord and the flower.
For the rose, I cut 12 petals, first in the shape of squares, I also burned the edges, then folded them in the shape of triangles. And, I joined with hand stitches in the way you see in the pictures, first 3 for the center, then 4 and then 5 pieces, leaving the centers open to tuck each piece in the middle.
Once the rose was formed, I sewed a little more hand, and then cut 2 circles from the fabric, one for the base of the flower and the other for the base that is attached to the cord, leaving it in the middle. This way the rose is well attached and ready to be worn on any occasion where you want to elevate your style with elegance and softness.
And, these are the 2 Ways to Make Fabric Flowers for Chokers What did you think hivers? The photos are personal records, edited in canva. I look forward to seeing you in the comments, hivers, always gratitude to you for keeping me creative and following my art.
