A visit to a neat and odd amusement

in #travel3 years ago

Yesterday, I was able to visit Jurustic Park. It's a quirky little amusement park, I guess. Maybe it's a sculpture garden. It fits in the category of the world's largest ball of twine (which seems to be disputed).

Evidently, the fellow who created all of these sculptures is an amateur, wannabe paleontologist. Really, if you ask me, he's more of a big kid. A big kid with fantastic metal working skills, great creativity, and a keen sense of humor.

Putting those things together, he made this park at his home and welcomes any comer to visit. Here's a guy who just does his thing and does it well and shares it with others. Pretty awesome, I think.

Big creature and "hobbit house".

Two of many mid-size sculptures. Maybe those are the hobbits?

A giant woodsmen, I guess. He might be a mascot for a local school, maybe.

Three of the larger works.

There were many, many smaller ones. Some were giant puppets. Pretty amazing and just fun.
