This sea shells was with me way back on 2017. It was from my mother's birthplace in Bacolod where she get all of this shells. Despite of being left behind for 4 years, it didn't have any broken spot or faded texture. So happy to see this sea shells comes to a new life as I decided to make it a hangin wall decor at home.

Aside from that, I don't spend any money to create this craft because it is all recycled. Well I am a fan of recycling materials tho. I just prepared everything including this wood which I got last summer of 2020. It is a remembrance when pandemic hits the Philippines and I needed to look for woods out of the bush. This reminds me also to my beloved dog who passed away last year. He was with me when we gathered these woods.

Here are the things that I prepare:

A piece of dried wood
Nylon cord
Sea shells
Scissor
Sanding paper

How I did:

1.I chose the best looking shells in a total of 20 pieces.

2.I tried to avoid sharp edges using sanding paper. I actually used that to get rid of some dark spots on white shells.

3.After I finished it, I poked the upper part of the shell using thumb tacks. I carefully make a tiny hole with a slight pressure and hammer.

4.I am done and separate them by colors. I prepare the dried woods and the nylon chord.

5.I simply tie the nylon chord and knot it into dried woods. Then I put the sea shells alternating it's color.

6.Just simply tie them together clearance for better look. I secure it to tie which comes first and layered it according to my reference.

I cut 3 pieces for 1 yard. This length are quite pretty good for this dried wood size. I just repeat all the process until to the last strand. It has a unique sounds perfect for wind chime. I tested it to hang into this curtain. Here is the final look guys, hope you'll like and find time checking my blog. Keep safe and have a good day everyone!
