Doing various outdoor bathrooms or home made septic systems is interesting to me because to put in septic tanks and all that costs so much at this point. Like 40K in Indiana. I always toy with this idea of building on old concrete pads that had trailers or old structures on them where the electric, well, and septic was already there. Whether the county would approve the older utilities is another story and a big hurdle.

Getting government approval limits people so much. Hope we can overcome that someday soon.

Oh for sure. I'm sure there are a lot of hacked septic systems for temp usage that consist of drainage pipe down into barrels covered in limestone or something. I saw some stuff of how people building Earthship type builds did it.
