Building House #12 Finished Bricklaying

in #homesteadinglast month

Blood Sweat and Tears this was a heavy job each block is 25kg and its hard to correctly lift them. My back isn´t happy!
700 blocks 25kg each and my building surveyor likes 150 blocks more, it needs to be done before winter so a bit of stress is in the mix...

I watched your video, it must have been a lot of hard work. It's great that you haven't stopped after all that hard work, I appreciate your work

The blocks are very big, 25 kg! Very nicely done. The pattern for casting your column is the same as here. You work very hard.

Your works are very hard work, after that you are progressing well, it is very good. It would be great if the work could be completed by winter.

That's quite a work! Impressive how many different things are involved into the building of a new house. As usual, great tutorials!

Starting to get off the ground now, that's awesome.

Really liked that the sped up parts had audio enabled, felt like an animation :)

Great work dear @gogreenbuddy and what amazes me is that you doing all the work yourself without taking anyone else help/support..cheers

Thanks for the initial time lapse. It definitely wasn't an easy build and I can't imagine building from the beginning by myself alone

The silver lining to heavy lifting is maybe no need for gym membership? But jokes aside, I truly admire people who build stuff with their own hands. I would love to do the same in future if not to this scale then at least a tiny home or something!

Yea, weather is all over the place. We can only guess which way it will go.

LEO Power Up Day - October 15, 2024

Just came across your videos. Brilliant. Really enjoyed the time-lapse. I was going to ask you if you were going to tie-in the posts to a mortar joint between the block work which I think I caught you at the end saying that you were.
I need to go back now and watch all the videos but have you posted a rendering of the finished building to see?
Best of luck with everything. No doubt its gonna the most satisfying thing ever to build your own home with your own hands.
Best wishes :-)

My back isn´t happy!

That is the reason, I asked you last time. At one point of life, I was adamant to lift anything, but then somewhere I hurt my back and I have been suffering from that since last 3 years, trying to fix it. So don't take too much weight, because its very hard or impossible to fix the back, if damaged.

I wear a lifting belt but yes I agree I avoid lifting as much as I can.

It's not easy easy task and you do it alone.. man, it's a lot of hardwork that you're doing. Howmuch time is left for winter there?

A week maybe a month depends on the year but after the 15th you are working on borrowed time

I was away for a couple of posts and its amazing to see you made so much progress in the meantime. Walls are looking great, cant wait to see them fully done and it to look like a real house finally. Hope you get them done before winter hits. Keep up the great work!!
