If there is something that I cant stand are the noises and shouldn't be there in my cars and oil leaks, it triggers my OCD and I have to fix them ASAP (as soon as possible). One of these was a squeal in the serpentine belt, out of nowhere it started with this annoying noise. So at we should do every time is asking to the people that knows (even if you do too) for advice and to be honest the belt was still looking good, no cracks or sign of much wear,, sometimes there are little tricks that others learn with the experience, one of these was using soap on the inside face of the belt (the one with the channels) this is to lubricate it (if I remember correctly) and stop the squeal, which it worked for a while but after sometime it would need more soap.
Si hay algo que no soporto son los ruidos y que no deberían estar ahí en mis coches y las fugas de aceite, esto desencadena mi TOC y tengo que arreglarlos lo antes posible. Uno de estos fue un chirrido en la correa de serpentina, de la nada comenzó con este ruido molesto. Así que lo que hay que hacer siempre es pedir consejo a la gente que sabe (aunque tú también lo sepas) y la verdad es que la correa seguía teniendo buen aspecto, sin grietas ni signos de mucho desgaste, a veces hay pequeños trucos que otros aprenden con la experiencia, uno de ellos era usar jabón en la cara interior de la correa (la que tiene los canales) esto es para lubricarla (si no recuerdo mal) y parar el chirrido, lo cual funcionó durante un tiempo pero después de algún tiempo necesitaría más jabón.
I used this one, is something that we call "jabon azul" in my country, is really good overall since is a strong soap and kind of cheap, but since this "solution" didn't last for long, it was time to try the next one, and this was cornstarch, yeah you hear/read it, found this tip online and looks like sometimes it does the trick for good, in my case it worked a while, the belt was noise free for a couple days but it went back everytime, so it was time to get a new one.
Usé este, es algo que llamamos "jabón azul" en mi país, es realmente bueno en general ya que es un jabón fuerte y algo barato, pero como esta "solución" no duró mucho tiempo, era hora de probar la siguiente, y esta era la maicena, sí lo escuchas/lees, encontré este consejo en internet y parece que a veces hace el truco para bien, en mi caso funcionó un tiempo, el cinturón estuvo libre de ruidos por un par de días pero volvió cada vez, así que era hora de conseguir uno nueva.

So I went to the hunt of the new belt, one with 6 channels and around 84". found one of 83" for 12$ after trying in a few stores and went back home, checked the correct way to put it and also searched online for a diagram just in case, the tensor is easy to move, is in the pulley of the driver side (the P/S in the diagram), just loosing two screws will let you move it and adjust to remove the old and install the new belt. the first time it was working fine but I noticed that in one of the pulleys one of the channels move out of it, so I have to adjust it again in the center pulley so it wont move it on the crack-shaft, leaving it like that, will damage the belt and probably cutting out one of the channels.
Así que me fui a la caza de la nueva correa, una de 6 canales y de unas 84". Encontré una de 83" por 12$ después de probar en unas cuantas tiendas y me volví a casa, comprobé la forma correcta de ponerla y también busqué en internet un diagrama por si acaso, el tensor es fácil de mover, está en la polea del lado del conductor (la P/S en el diagrama), simplemente soltando dos tornillos te permite moverla y ajustarla para quitar la vieja e instalar la nueva correa. la primera vez funcionaba bien pero note que en una de las poleas uno de los canales se salia de ella, por lo que tengo que ajustarlo de nuevo en la polea central para que no se mueva en el eje de la grieta, dejarlo así, dañara la correa y probablemente corte uno de los canales.

The jeep had handles for the bar or the doors, tbh the doors were in the bare metal, so I decided to do them myself, I have always liked the paracord and checking handles on amazon saw a few that were made with that, of course those where with adjustable belts and velcro closing, but I did them on my own style, after looking for the cords and few hours of weaving, I had my handles ready to install, and using the bar screws this was the result.
El jeep tenía asas para la barra o las puertas, para ser honesto las puertas estaban en el metal desnudo, así que decidí hacerlas yo mismo, siempre me ha gustado el paracord y revisando asas en amazon vi unas cuantas que estaban hechas con eso, por supuesto aquellas donde con correas ajustables y cierre de velcro, pero las hice a mi estilo, después de buscar las cuerdas y unas cuantas horas de tejer, tuve mis asas listas para instalar, y usando los tornillos de la barra este fue el resultado.
