MY SON'S HANDMADE TOY

Hey, unschooling parents and all people who are fond of handmade things like we are!

I wanna share with my HiveFam a new handmade toy of my son.

Don't know why but he is interested in sewing, and it's his 3rd toy already.
of course, I help him a little bit because all operations with a needle is not easy for him to do alone. But he tries to get this science, and now he is much better in sewing already!

The thing is I am not a super master of sewing either, so it's a kind of studying for both of us;)

My Dad is great in sewing both by hands and with a sewing machine, my GrandDad also was a master of sewing who made everything by himself, all clothers were sewed by him for his big family with 7 kids!
Maybe it's blood and heritage, and now my son and me also try to get this skill;)

We've bought a set for making a toy in the marketplace and started our magic.

This time the toy was mych bigger and more complicated, so it took 3-4 days for my son to make it.

But he was eager to have it so much that he was ready to sew all day long;) Thougn he was tired a lot, sewing isn't easy for kids...

Raccoon is my son's home name;) We call him so just for fun, and he likes this name, so he wanted to have this toy so much;)

Now some photos of the process:

and it's his home made of books;))

My son is happy, and doesn't pay attention his toy isn't ideal, it's the best for him because he spent so much time making it;)

Now he plays with him every day;)

♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

For a child to make a stuffed animal by himself in 3 or 4 days is amazing! The anecdote of your family is very cool, it's always great to have close relatives who are textile artists, it is possible that your son has inherited some of that talent; really congratulations to your little boy for such a good job 💙

thanks a lot!! my son was happy to see your comment;) I helped him to translate it, and he was just shining getting praise from other people;) Thanks for his smile!

This is so beautiful, @taliakerch - how gorgeous, to see a child making his own toy; powerful skills, eh! Bravo 🤗🥳😃🌞⭐

oh thank you so much!! I'm glad to see it too because modern kids prefer phones or tablets more:(
