A big greeting to all, happy start of the week. I'd like to start by introducing myself. I'm Scarleth, arts student, future actress and cartoonist in process.
It's the first time I share a post in the #HomeEdders community, that's why I feel very excited to communicate my feelings, emotions and creative process with you.
Today I want to share with you the step by step of how to draw an apple. This is very dynamic because since we are little we should draw to develop our creative capacity, communicate what we feel and identify our environment.
In addition, drawing fruits makes us connect with nature, health, life and the environment. It is not for nothing that great painters like Picasso became known for drawing magnificent still lifes. Even death was reflected in these paintings, as it was in the case of Pieter Claesz's still life, Vanitas.
However, I will start by depicting the basics, just a fruit; an apple.
We need to delve into one thing first and then move on to another. I hope you find it useful if you don't know how to start drawing an apple with watercolors or you are experimenting.
Process
First you just make a circle, it doesn't have to be perfect, unless you want your apple to be, I made mine a little bent.
Secondly, you must shape the circle into an apple shape in order to paint it with a first base coat of yellow. It should be very diluted.
We will continue applying a first coat of red or whatever color you want your apple to be, because there are green, red...
We continue to apply another layer. Always from less to more, do not overdo it with the tonality. I used yellow and red until I achieved a satisfactory result.
Remember to paint the apple stick.
This is how it is almost finished.
Finally, we give a background (this is optional). As I made the background dark, the shadows were not noticeable, so I recommend doing it with lighter tones.
That would be all. It should be noted that I am not a professional at drawing apples, but I think my explanation is in accordance to understand how to start painting them.
I hope you have understood everything.
A big hug, thanks for coming here π
Any questions or advice you can leave it below in the chat, I'd love to hear from you.
