Good day to all Beautiful @homeedders readers from all over the world. I hope that your New Year starts very well and it’s nice to be back here after being busy from holiday season to New Year preparation.
Online class is back once again and the kid’s lesson is getting more challenging not only through answering modules but also in actual learning such as sewing. I remember when I was in grade 3 our teacher taught us how to do a rug matt. Every year we are given a task to do basic sewing crocheting and etc.
Today my 11 years old daughter ask a help from me how to do the sewing. Her teacher gave them a task to do the basic sewing using the basic materials to sew and measuring using a tape measure. They were ask by their teacher to submit a scrap book of basic sewing materials such as needles, thread, pins, pin cushion, scissors, tape measure and etc.
The first thing that I taught my daughter to do is how to put inside the thread into the small hole of the needle. When I was young it was a tough for me because of the needle hole is so small so I need to make sure that my thread will fit into the needle hole. I have a strategy how to make it easier I just need to cut the thread and it must be a clean cut and I will put a bit of water to the thread so that the thread will not be soft to put inside the small hole and that is what my Mama told me to do when I was young.
I believe that everyone woman or men should know basic sewing that is the reason why that it is taught in schools. When I reach high school the sewing lessons becomes tougher we are ask to submit a projects by sewing such as designing and sewing our own clothes using by hand sew only. My daughter is now in grade 6 and it is a good start to learn sewing. I am not good in sewing but at least I know the basic that I can use when it is badly needed.
Parents should teach their children to sew so that when the kids get old she or he has knowledge how to sew for their future family.
Thank you so much for reading my post today I hope to write more in the next few days about our other home steady journey with my kids.
